I have been a patient of marks for over 20 years. I have received the best care possible from this doctor. I do suffer from glaucoma and he replaced my lenses. I was able to go from blind to seeing perfectly. Very professional and very kind just can't say enough of the Care I've received

In addition to the negative reviews (Mr Rogers absolutely nailed it saying the focus is for mass production over personalized care) My 83 yr old mother had similar surgery results and was also told smugly that her "brain will learn to deal with it" She now can't tolerate sunlight for any length of time, even indoor lighting can cause debilitating levels of dizziness, nausea, or migraines unless she wears her post surgery glasses most of the time. Maffett's dismissal of, complete ambivalence to resolving problems he might have attributed to causing, boil down to a narcissistic infallible man that wont bother to linger with patients he's already collected payments from. Why when a slew of billable new patients are slotted for rushed 20mins where an assistant interviews you, updates your chart, retrieves Maffett to pop in, quickly access you, he talks over you, barely treats you like anything other than a number. Twice durning my appointment he's focused prep care for the next patients

Dr Maffett dismisses concerns, contradicts the patients past history (of which he was not involved), and is always in a hurry to finish up and to leave. His assistant, Annette, is patronizing and impatient. My cataract surgery was less than successful, and he didn't show any sympathy or have any solutions looking forward. I dread going to see him and Annette.

Both the wife and I had had cataract surgery done by Dr. Maffett. The wife's turned out just fine but mine had several problems with floaters and haze issues. Returned 2 different times for solutions but just got brushed off, "my brain will learn to deal with it". I can't deal with it any longer ( 2 years now ) and will be dealing with another Doctor. His facilities seem to be geared for mass production and little true care or concern for his patients :o[

Dr. Maffett is experienced, knowledgeable, confident with surgery, concered with the patient and a good listener as well. Highly recommend him.

The staff is rude and impatient, and constantly make you feel like a bother. The doctor himself usually sees you for.at most five minutes, and then you're lucky if the informatiom he goves you is correct. As a patient of many years, I reccomend you look elsewhere for your ophthamology needs.
