The people working here are friendly enough, it's the waiting room that gets a little frustrating. Extremely long wait times. I'm from a town with access to multiple hospitals and I think this may be the only hospital here so that would explain the long wait.
Currently 12hrs and counting in the wait room. Not even busy. This is the most absurd thing I’ve ever seen. I’m here with chest pains and a family history of heart disease and I’ll be waiting in the lobby for 12 hrs and STILL haven’t been seen.
I have never in my life sat in the ER for over 8 hours to be seen by a doctor.I fact it 3:00am and still sitting here.
Doctors don’t care how bad your pain is. They don’t listen to you. They make you wait in agonizing pain for hours in the emergency room without giving you any type of feedback.
After many locals warned me about Asante in grants pass. I was injured and with no choice went there with insurance card and cash to pay my co pay. The service was horrible but atleast i was seen. Once my insurance was sent the bill they declined to pay over 800.00 of "extras"... i am fighting with dept collectors over a year after my visit..if you dont have state welfare that they can blindly charge please dont go near Asante..Asante..
Car crash, seen in ER last week. ER will not give me a referral to a neurologist. I have a 5 level cervical fusion, and was knocked sideways in the collision. I was told that I could walk in to urgent care, but would have to make an appointment and come back. Thanks! That’s an 80+ mile round trip. Or, I could make an appointment by calling on the morning of the day I want to come in. Did that at 8 am. 8:40, still waiting for a return call to schedule it, bc person I spoke to couldn’t do it. I didn’t write a review of my last visit to this hospital but it was an even worse experience than this. ALL I ASKED WAS A REFERRAL to a specialist. Why must I add wear & tear, time and mileage when I WAS SEEN last week!??? To see someone who can do nothing for me but write a referral!! I hope I’m never in a life threatening situation and have use this facility. Minus 5 stars!
No doctor on call. Why even have urgent care.
Waited for hours and they had open rooms, the lack of organization and help is ridiculous!
I attempted suic!de twice in September and committed myself overnight on the 21st. Some of the nurses were nice and accommodating. Several including my that nights doctor (or NP)were absolutely condescending. Belittle me for not medicating my condition. I kindly explained to her that you don’t simply medicate Borderline Personality Disorder, and that it is among the most stigmatized mental health conditions. She augured it wasn’t. As a medical health professional not mental health she’s not qualified to make either claim. It was even clearer in the morning when the morning NP told me the night time NP wrote that I had Bipolar Disorder that she had no clue what she was talking about. I tried to bring up that there was dried vomit along the floor of my room from previous patients with the options counselor, but she simply smiled and said “some crazy stuff happens in these rooms”. Like how can you be so dense and uncaring?! My wife later told me that it was clear she didn’t listen to me at all. I just wanted out the last nurse giving me my discharge papers made a snide comment about the way I tried to commit suic!de. I was already feeling burdensome and uncared for and they made it worse. So thanks to the 3 nurses that didn’t completely dehumanize me at my lowest. Attached: dried saltine cracker vomit next to the bed
So my dad had a stroke last night around 11 or so drove himself there and they would not see him for what ever there reason was, he then drove himself to Providence knowing he had a small window of time. If you cherish the loved ones in your life do not bring them hear.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
