List of Oleg Maksimov's Reviews
Dr Maksimov is good! He carefully explained what my issues are & the best options for treatment. However, except for his nice front desk people & nurse, the response of scheduling staff is horrible!! A request to my insurance company for authorization for injections was supposed to be sent to the clinic almost 3 weeks ago. I was told that someone would call to schedule the procedure within 10 days to two weeks! I contacted the clinic twice & finally, in desperation I got a hold of my insurance company. The CSR was very helpful & made a thorough search of my file. I was told they never received a request for treatment!!! So, I notified the clinic & was told the request wasn’t sent in when it should have been!!! A request was sent in today which may be approved between 72 hours & 2 weeks!!! You can be sure that although I’m happy to recommend Dr Maksimov, I definitely will not recommend the clinic! It’s very unprofessional way to conduct a medical practice!!
Scheduling is a nightmare! No one returns phone calls and the staff is rude.
This morning Monday 1.3.22 at 9:45am. This clinic f---ked up my start time. They had it set for 10:15am. I have to be transported to my appointments by Trimet Lift buses. My ride back to work from the clinic was scheduled for 10:30am. The appointment was supposed to take 30 minutes (9:45 - 10:15) would have left me enough time with a cushion. They did not even take mee back to the exam room until 10:05am, at that time it was to late to complete the appointment. If I did not show up to the appointment I would have had to pay for the meeting. That being the case I think they should have to pay for my work time loss and my travel and the frustration of the whole unprofessional way they treated the whole situation. I do not recommend this clinic. If they f---ked up the appointment time what else are they going to f--k up, my back by making it worse. I have started a complaint with Adventist and with the Oregon medical board. If you do not want to waste your time and risk further pain do not use these doctors or the clinic. Do not use these idiots. Tony Wright.
I have seen Dr.Maksimov for a couple of appointments. Recently I have had problems with his staff not returning my telephone messages even though I told them I was out of my meds since it was a conrolled substantcwe and needed his attention. I have only top ratings . for dr.Maksimov, but his staff is not doing him or me any justice. My next step will be to call Medicare to complain. hoprfully this problem will improve.
This establishment is hands down the worst medical facility I’ve ever been to. The doctor I saw previously was a know-it-all jerk who did an unnecessary spinal injection on me. I almost lost my job due to Dr. Garmin’s lack of courtesy. Most recently I saw Dr. Maksimov. I was really hoping that it would be a positive experience, but it was far from it. Firstly, Dr. Maksimov gives off old world vibes. What I mean is that I felt like I got sub-par care because I am a woman with a chronic pain disorder. He barely spoke to me, poked at my foot for about 30 seconds, and sent me on my way with a prescription I can’t even get filled at my pharmacy. They’ve been trying to contact him for about a week to get a different prescription, but it’s no surprise that Dr. Maksimov hasn’t gotten back to them. Communication is severely lacking with this organization. Also after observing people in the lobby, it’s clear that this facility is doing everything they can to squeeze money out of the state of Oregon because EVERY patient had OHP or some other state funded insurance. DO NOT go to Columbia Pain and Spine, even as a last resort. You will waste your time and money and you’ll also feel like crap afterwards.
Dr. Maksimov and Nikkiel LeFebre are both very competent and skilled. I've had steroid injections and a spinal neurostimulator. I trust Dr. Maksimov's care and his advice. The staff at the front desk are very nice, if you can get a hold of them. They prefer to communicate by text including to schedule & reschedule appts (even when they are the ones cancelling the appt). They don't first ask if the date/time will work for you. Then if you text back asking what other options might be available, they simply reschedule you without confirming if it works for you. In my case, I could've taken the first appt but it meant having to reschedule something else. So I wanted to know my options. But, they simply pushed my appt out a month! This process doesn't give patients a sense that the front office staff are in tune with the customers. We have other lives too! Having said all that, I'd give them 5 stars if they would be more collaborative with patients when scheduling appointments.
Dr. Maksimov is the best Dr. I have ever had & I've had many. If you really listen to him talk you will learn he is very knowledgeable. You might not always like what you hear but he will try his very best to help you! I have known DR.M. since he became president at Columbia Pain & Spine....God worked through him to help me. I'm walking because he really looked into what was wrong when other Drs didn't. I feel it takes more than 1 visit to know him as he is trying to also understand & know you! I feel I give him respect & he also gives me respect. He is the most caring Dr. I've ever had. His staff go out of their way to make you comfortable. The procedure room people our so caring and make sure your comfortable. Dr. Maksimov has only the best people working with him! I can't say enough nice words about him or all that work their. If you really want the best for yourself this is the place to go!!
Dr. Maksimov has provided me care that has allowed me to continue to move and care for myself. I am most fortunate to be his patient. He explains the issues that I much learn to live with and thankfully also gives me assistance to do this with his most professional and expert procedures to alleviate worsening of my situation and this has provided me with increased motion and balance now too. I am feeling more alive and positive about life again. Dr. Maksimov and his staff and procedure staff are the best medical team indeed. I highly recommend him.
I am a Ph.D 56 yr old educated professional and a touring musician who has been coming to this clinic for 4.5 years. I have nothing but good to say about Christy and the front office people. They have always made me feel welcome. Both Susan Ring and Oleg Maximov have been very competend and pleasant to talk to. I have been in pain management for 10 years and this clinic is the best. I have tons of documentation concerning my back condition and this clinic is good at using a multi-modal approach which can include the conservative use of pain medication long term if needed. Along with other therapies, I have benefitted from pain meds. and my only fear, along with most patients in pain management, will not have that option open due to the DEA witch hunt that is taking control away from providers and dictating what they will be able to do.Columbia Pain and Spine always moniters their patients and I do trust them. Never be afraid to have a discussion with your provider if you have issues with your treatment plan. Wayne B. Link
In 1995 I broke my back, I'm fuzed at L-1-2. My back has got more issues than Icare to go into. I've had had one L-5-S-1 that has been unbearable for 22 years I had to deal with it. A little over 18 months ago I returned to CP&SI, for help. Between one dedicated Doctor And Great PA, I got what I asked for, A true Honest to God Miracle! The Pain from L-5-S-1 that ran down my left leg is Pretty Much Gone! The place were Bone Spur was still hurts some but, maybe some day it wont. That Doc's job.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
