David L Maccabee's Online Review Report Card

Although my weight loss was a total of 145 pounds, when i had my tummy tuck during the prep before surgury he asked if i wanted a lift proceedure. Since we had not discussed this prior he took me off guard. The procedure was done thus not being performed correctly. It left a large bulge in the pelvic area, which now i suffer with e eryday. I cannot wear jeans or any fitted clothing because of it. I went back to have this procedure corrected but was told he couldnt do anything. They refered me to a plasic surgery thus that would cost me 10,000.00 or more to fix. I didnt have the money and i am disappointed that Dr. Maccabee never corrected the mistake he made for free. I am now deformed. He is not a plastic surgeon. I do not reccomend him.

I would choose Zero stars. Dr Maccabee removed most of my stomach due to rotting food trapped in my stomach. 8 months later I needed skin removal due to Lupus attacking my skin with HS. He told me he could “do it with his eyes closed .” He cut around 60 % my waist and by removing my staples after six days, did not use steri strips and within 12 hours my incision opened up. He pulled the skin over my pubic bone and now I can’t have sex. When I eat I hurt due to lots of scar tissue. He lied to me.

Dr. Maccabee performed my sleeve gastrectomy and I could not be happier with the level of care I received from him, his staff and all at Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria. Dr. Maccabee is very professional, caring and absolutely amazing at what he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone who will listen!

He is the best

I saw Dr. Macabee recently for a general surgery issue involving removal of a benign tumor from my upper arm. He was professional and extremely competent. The surgery, performed at Marian Meidcal Center, was a great success with minimal swelling, pain or bruising. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Maccabee & his staff are top-notch all the way. He did an excellent job with my hernia surgery. All his explanations & communcation were concise, clear & timely. His bedside manner is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to refer him to anyone. Dr. Maccabee & his staff get an 11 out of 10!

I had Dr. Maccabee for a colonoscopy, which I was really dreading. I am so picky about my Dr's. This was my first time with this doctor and he was great. Confident, good bedside manner, I really had no worries after my visit, and the day of went so well. I would have confidence for him to do a surgery, and I am sorry that he is not in the North West anymore. You guys are really blessed to have him there.

I'm going to have sleeve gastrectomy at the end of the month. Dr Maccabee and his entire interdisciplinary team are a composition of both competent and compassionate healthcare providers. I feel confident that I am in good hands :)
