Horrible place. The nurse practitioner there calls herself a doctor but isn’t one. She almost killed me.

My 86 year old mother recently fell while visiting relatives in La Grande and received the most amazing care here. EVERYTHING - and ALL THE PEOPLE were compassionate and beyond capable. All personnel couldn't have been more excellent and our entire family remains and will forever be deeply grateful. This community is very fortunate to have such an outstanding hospital.

From the moment we stepped into the ER, we were met with friendly, caring, and extremely competent staff. They were thorough, efficient, and informative throughout the entire visit. We received great medical care!

Came here in ambulance yesterday, my husband called the dispatch 911, she took forver contacting the ambulance thought i was having a heart attack. It was just anxiety attack. The EMTs where very nice and personal. The nurses were nice as well. However, as i was getting ready to leave, i could here someone in that little nursing area making fun of the me, how i know is she said very loudly "oh im having a heart attack" and laughing like a child about it. Then a nice nurse came in talked to me for a bit. I would have stayed and talked longer but i was over angered at the brown young haird girl making fun of my medical emergency. I have 3 children and i pray i dont raise a single one like her. Id like to talk to the state hospital office on Monday to see what they can do about not only this issue but other issues i have regarding this hospital and the general public health system associated with them. With all these low reviews and everyone else driving to baker hospital instead of this on theres gonna be a red flag and a problem.

Almost lost my Mother to the lack of care this place provides. No idea how they reached top 100 in the nation. Obviously some bought reviews there. Almost everyone I talk to in this valley has had a bad experience with GRH. More than half the time they tell people to to somewhere else or will fly them to another hospital because they never know what is going on. My wife was in labor and they tried sending her home with sleep meds because their outdated machines couldn't register contractions. My step mom threw a fit and demanded that the doctor see her even tho they refused. When he finally did, he was shocked and she was already dilated to a 6. Dr Page is the worst and treats everyone as pill popping drug addicts. Wont even listen to their story or will just think you are lieing. Fire him. Horrible hospital in general. Unless your life is on serious danger with lack of time, you are better off going a little further to Baker or Pendleton. At least you are treated as a patient and not an addict.

The billing office sucks. They pocket your money when you pay in the office and don't contact you for another 2 years. Then they say you never paid and owe it again. And if you were unfortunate enough to have not saved your payment records for years then you have no proof and they say they can't help you and it has to be paid to avoid messing with your credit score. Even if it was a legitimate accident, pretty sure it's illegal to not send a bill and then send it to collections.

Me and my wife are from Arizona our experience there was good with our first 2 babies. we moved to La Grande in March 2018 and just had our 3rd baby on the 24th of October 2018 seeing the bad reviews made us nervous about having the baby here but when the day came of our son Julian's birth we never been so satisfied and happy this was honestly the best experience we have ever had our nurses Tania, Chelsea and Misty were some of the best people to ever deal with very attentive very caring helped us out in every situation possible we honestly wish we could have never left haha and our doctor (Dr. Knight) is also very awesome made sure everything was going to be alright it's definitely a 5 star rating if I could rate more it would be the highest couldn't thank them enough definitely the best!

They are completely rediculous, they were rude and made me sit in the observation room after having to be taken in by ambulence for what seemed like hours while I was in excruciating pain and couldnt talk or consentraite, I also don't appreciate being looked at like a druggie for taking a pain killer that WAS PRESCRIBED TO ME. They gave me somthing to knock me out (Which is great because sitting there for long made me wish I was dead. Then when a was barely awake the doctor explain to my grandmother that they will not help me with the pain (Which was worse that childbirth.) Because i took one of MY pain medication that was prescribed to ME in the past, I didn't even want to go up to this hospital because all I have ever had was horrible experience. You can definetly tell who is in it for the money and who isnt. My grandmother was in the room and recorded how long I was just sitting there screaming because of the pain. Good job GRH you're going to have a lawsuit on your hands. I recommend not going to this hospital. They will make you feel like dirt. Last night was unacceptably wrong and whoever worked last night should not be doctors or nurses.

Listens well and communicates well

He does his best to help you with any problems you have, and if not he looks for others that can help. I have changed Drs. because I was not receiving the help I needed. I am very happy with him.
