Well it's a long story with a long time ago my name is Kimberly Lucero he was my doctor. He believed in me when I could not believe in myself. And his staff as well they are outstanding. I love you guys keep doing what you're doing keep saving lives and I'll try to
Dr. Rice blew me away with how kind he was. He treated me like a human, validated my concerns, and I truly felt like he cared deeply about finding the right solution to lead to a better life. I look forward to continuing to work with him, and I feel much more hopeful about my future.
If I could give Dr. Rice negative stars I would!!! He "seemed" supportive and nice in the beginning. He was supposed to help me get on a lower dose on anxiety medication and wean me off two other antidepressants but he never told me how exactly. I ended up having to Google it which is not a very safe option at all by the way!! Long story short on our last call He asked me about a book on anxiety, this was the 1st time he had ever brought up any kind of books with me ever, and when I told him I didn't have any books on anxiety that's when he freaked out on me! He acted like I wasn't following any of his directions, which he hadn't given me any at that point except to wean myself off the drugs that's it in a nutshell, that I was no better than a street druggy asking my pimp for drugs, and this would be our last call to not call him again he couldn't help me anymore but he would continue to help me wean off meds by continue to prescribe them till I was weaned off. Again, without any specific instructions. Now keep in mind from the beginning he never told me how exactly to wean off the drugs and that was the 1st and only time he brought up the subject about anxiety books before he went half cocked on me saying horrible things that I don't feel I deserved!!! I was never rude or disrespectful to him. I've since found a wonderful physciatrist who listens to me. And who has gone the extra mile for me by giving me a GenoTest confirming I am an Ultra Rapid Metabolizer meaning I zip through 99.99% of my medications. And one of the meds he wanted me off turns out was the best one suited for me genetically speaking. Also, people who are Ultra Rapid Metabolizer are sometimes labeled as "drug seekers". As I was horribly by Dr. Rice. Maybe if Dr. Rice had been organized, actually supportive, realized he had never prescribed any books prior to our last call, ran a Geneotest on me, and was a better understanding human being things might have went better, maybe. But he handled me how he handled those poor cows INHUMANELY!!! RUN AWAY from this "Doctor" his bedside manner is something out of a horror movie!!!
Dr. Rice has been my mother's doctor for a number of years. He is a thoughtful and compassionate physician, and she receives excellent care from him.
Never had a Doctor who cared so much about his patients. Extremely intelligent and up to date on treatment options. Tailors plan of care to fit needs. The growth I have experienced while under his care is beyond any I have had before. Would recommend to anyone willing to take suggestions, follow plan of care, and put in the work to accomplish mental health related goals. Think it's petty that people keep commenting on shooting cows when we have all made bad decisions and fall short. Has nothing to do with his professionalism and treatment of patients. He and his team have gone above and beyond for me and hundreds of others. In my opinion that overshadows one choice.
One of the most intelligent and caring doctors I have been treated by. Always willing to listen and give feedback. Treatment customized to fit my needs. Issues treated have improved exponentially.
Run don't walk to someone else
Dr. Joel Rice and has a very strange demeanor. When I read the news that this guy shot 7 animals simply because they were in his driveway I was not surprised. Stay away, he is a loose cannon and would not be surprised if he turned his frustrations to a human instead.
I would not recommend this guy to my worst enemy. What a temper!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
