Great friendly service
Due to Emily Tracy's behavior, our family will be finding a different clinic.
Until today I went to La Grande Family Medicine 2011 Fourth St, La Grande Oregon 97850 I have been going here 15+ years with 0 issue. In the recent years, a different/new doctor to us (Emily Tracy) has diagnosed me with asthma. She prescribed me an albuterol inhaler, I’ve used that for about 2 year now. (I use about ONE (1) inhaler a month, that’s normal) I just recently went in for an appointment with Tracy in December of 2022. I told her that I was having issues getting refills on my prescription. She then told me she will up my prescription refills to 5 refills, so I won’t have to worry about getting my medicine anymore. Now it’s March, I’m still having issues getting my prescription refilled. Every time I try to get a fill, the pharmacy tells me they have to call it into my doctors office to get more refills. Today (March 2nd 2023) I called my pharmacy for a refill as I need it now, the pharmacy told me yet again that I would have to wait for more refills from my doctor. I was shocked I had to wait again as I had brought this issue up multiple times to my pharmacy and doctors office. I was upset, but not unprofessional when I called La Grande Family Medical. Today I was insulted, corrected, and spoken to in an unacceptable manner by Emily Tracy. (Her tone was disgusting, her voice got loud almost on the verge of yelling, and she told me my management skills for getting prescriptions was the problem.) My complaint is that Tracy Emily is unprofessional, untruthful, spiteful, and that she withholds prescriptions out of spite. Emily started off the conversation by correcting my behavior, and telling me she will only prescribe a certain amount of refills (5 refills) then at the end of our call, she decided that I would be getting no more refills as she got very angry over the phone. You can’t do that! You. Can’t. Do. That. If I never made this call today, I would still be getting my normal prescription and refills. She told me no more, out of anger. She has absolutely no reason to do this. Emily told me that she’s not prescribing me anymore inhalers unless I come in again, she did this out of anger. She told me I would have to pay for yet another appointment to get the prescription I need. Even though just months ago I was there. She lied to me and said we never discussed the inhaler in December. We did. We discussed it in length. Now she’s telling me after I upset her; that we never talked about the inhaler during my appointment in December. She must have record of our appointment. We shall see. I want to see the notes! That was the main subject we talked about, the inhaler. She is a liar. This is not okay. Just in case anyone was thinking of going with Emily Tracy at La Grande Family Medicine, do not! This pathetic excuse for a doctor raised her voice at me over the phone, getting louder as the conversation continued. Completely disrespectfully cutting me off, I had to say “let me finish” & correcting my behavior like I’m her child… Absolutely pathetic behavior.
I've been going to Lagrande Family Medicine since around 2015. My experience has been amazing. Bonnie was my physician up until I moved, and I still come back to her when I'm in town! Brianne at the front desk is AMAZING as well! I had some papers I needed filled out asap and she helped me get in as soon as possible! She has an amazing personality and brings a smile to my face when greeted by her on the phone. Truly amazing people and a wonderful establishment. I hope to find a place as caring as this in the new place I call home.
I just moved to La Grande and went in to establish myself with a primary care provider. Bri was extremely helpful providing the forms necessary to be enrolled which I completed then at the clinic. The very next day she called with an appointment date and time. Am looking forward to that appointment and anticipate that it will be as efficiently handled as was my initial contact! Thank you!
I recently came to town to escort my mom to a Dr appointment. I was concerned with the level of care she was getting in her small town. When we arrived i expected to see a anoyed reception that barked "NEXT!". Instead a soft spoken lady that my mom called Brianne greeted us with such kindness and asked mom about a sewing project she was working on. As if this small town somehow was intertwined more than just a doctor or reception. She truly knew my moms personal life and had interest in it. This is something you would never see at OHSU where you are just a name and birthdate. Her doctor, Emily, did not even get into her medical check until they fully caught up on current life activities and upcoming plans. She truly cared about my moms life not just her medical. After we chatted medical issues. Emily turned to me and took her time answering questions I had. Even with some serious topics, she never lost focus that my mom was the patient and I was the guest. She spoke in equal portions of respect and knowledge. Hands down my faith is restored in a community clinic that not only has the knowledge of current treatments. They hold hometown values. I was not able to express my gratitude that day as I did not want my mom to feel she couldn't take care of herself. So here I am to say thank you ladies for being her "family" when I can't always be there. Many blessings gs and the highest of ratings to you both !!
I've been a patient at La Grande Family Medicine for many years and have always been treated with respect and well cared for. Appointments are easy to schedule, my time is respected which results in very little "wait time" in the office. The added service of urgent care on site makes everything easy.
Getting good medical care in a small town has proven to be challenging. After having issues with the local hospital system (that handles the majority of healthcare in La Grande), I found La Grande Family Medicine. It was pure luck that I was sick last November and ended up in their urgent care department where Megan Brassine saw me. She was amazing! I've never had a provider spend so much un-interrupted time with me to try and solve my ailment. I never once felt rushed, she listened intently to my symptoms and concerns. I left feeling like a weight was lifted from my shoulders. When it was time to find a Primary Care Physician, I decided to try them out before finding a provider in Boise (where I go for everything else because Grande Ronde is a disappointment to say the least). I selected Cami Bean as my PCP and she has been a delight to work with. Again, she has listened to my concerns and taken more action than any doctor over the past 5+ years. I love that you can have lab work done same day, in the same building. The front desk staff are fabulous to work with. All in all, these things along with the excellent providers make La Grande Family Medicine a wonderful place to receive medical care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
