Kyle Horner's Online Review Report Card

I've been here a couple times. All seems good. Dr Horner freeze's my pre cancerous spots :)

He’s great. The staff is always very kind and helpful

Have been treated by Dr Horner on six occasions as I can recollect, I find his surgery skills very good. Dr Horner is very cordial and I feel he does give attention to his patient regarding what ever the purpose of your visit might be. He may not scan your body with a magi fine glass but I trust that he is searching your skin for any suspicious sores or indications of cancer related signs as he speaks with you. Although he does not appear to look at my scalp, thin haired as it is, I feel certain that he does observe the scalp of those of us that are balding. My only recommendation to Dr Horner, is that he schedule a follow up appointment on conditions that, at the time, do not seem threating, and might be treated with liquid Nitrogen, but at the same time might be something more serious such as a basil cell. I had a basil cell on my nose which my family doctor passed off as nothing which Dr Horner diagnosed as a basil cell which he removed and is barely visible as we speak. Not sure there is an absolute dermatologist or doctor for that fact, have been diagnosed wrongly by the medical profession on several occasions, hopefully all do their due diligence with a public that is anxious to find fault, especially with professional people whom they view as "know it all's"I will give Dr Horner a four star as I would most doctor's as none are perfect, including yours truly, (a professional).

I was recommended by my primary care physician to Dr Horner. I had been to other dermatologists in the past and while they were nice, I needed someone with a bit more experience and expertise. The knowledge, kindness and professionalism of him and his staff highly exceeded anyone I had been to before. Grateful to have been referred to Dr. Horner.

Nice, kind man. Not at all thorough in his examinations. He has misdiagnosed three spots by deeming them as seborrheic keratosis. I would not be able to recommend him and will not continue with him. I need a good dermatologist that is knowledgable as I have a family history of skin cancers which I explained on my initial visit.

Went in for first visit, he sat across the room for my ‘examination ‘ never once looked at my skin up close. When I asked if I could also get my skin checked for pre-cancer screening, he walked around me, not to check my skin, but to get a brochure that showed me how to check myself for skin cancer. His assistant did more than he did by pointing out my medication concerns for not being compatible with the prescription he recommended for my condition .With the cost of insurance and deductibles, all of these visits are out of pocket expenses. When having to pay that much, one would expect the professional to have an exceptional approach to the patients care, in light of the care I received here, I seriously question his credibility as a professional.P.S. I was just left a voice mail regarding this review (from Dr. Horner...his exact words.. "I just wanted you know that I also did a skin check as I'm talking with you I kind of look at your skin, not kind of I do look at your skin and do a skin check. So we got to see your arms chest upper back face years all that and those are the important areas for pre-spots that you're worried about") ...My recollection of this visit was that my skin was examined from across the room (no exaggeration) and my precancerous skin check must have been through x ray vision I was never asked to re position my clothing or my hair to get a good view of my upper back and arms and ears...it was a not an exam, it was a glance if anything.I have been to other Dermatologists that used special glasses to examine the skin...there was nothing of that sort, nor was there any close up examination. I was reclining in this weird chair that forced you to lay back, so the chair was covering my back, and I HAVE REALLY LONG HAIR SO THAT WAS ALSO COVERING MY BACK AND NECK. I was not asked to sit forward or anything during the whole visit. Not really an examination of any worth done throughout the visit. certainly not 250.00 worth. We, the public, deserve much better than this kind of care. It is very frustrating to have to pay so much and yet receive so little in the services of a professional.

My husband and I both see Dr. Horner for our dermatology needs. We both have had cancerous lesions removed by him, and he has done wonderful work. I had a lesion removed from my nose, so it was in a very conspicuous place, and he did an excellent job. I recommend him to all my friends. His staff is equally competent and friendly.
