List of Ahan E. Newman's Reviews
Our daughter has been a patient of Dr. Newman's for years. He is kind, knowledgeable and is always willing to answer our questions truthfully and with care. We would 100% recommend him to anyone!
Dr. Newman is awesome! Highly recommend!!!
Dr. Newman refused to provide care for my 3 children after we missed one appointment. I called to let them know I was having trouble getting to the appointment on time and they kindly told me not come and not to come back! Wow I’ve never been so disrespected by a Dr or a medical office. Please consider this when deciding to go to Southern Oregon Pediatrics. P.s there office visits are nearly $ 400.00 each.
Dr Newman does not follow through on what he says he will do. Fails to put referrals in and does not read lab results when he receives them.
My son saw Dr. Newman many times over 2 years. We outlined the problems again and again. Our last appointment, Sam had lost 8 of his 120 pounds in one month. Dr. Newman told Sam that "eating was a choice". He ran blood results which came back abnormal but he didn't address it, he had his assistant call to say they were normal. All the time and money we spent on repeated appointments. The undercurrent of judgment was the elephant in the room because he decided there was nothing wrong. Then Sam went to a neurologist MD (I found, NOT referred), and was finally diagnosed with Developmental Control Disorder/Sensory Integration Disorder which explains every thing right down to his sleep cycle disorder. The thing is that Dr. Newman had the report from the first neurologist who was a Phd. He just chose NOT to read it or give it any credence. Take home: Dr. Newman is great if you have cancer or something obvious. He's great if you have the flu or a cold. Well dressed, nice as he could be unless you bother him too much or demand a better answer which he doesn't have because he doesn't bother to do the research. At which point he will fire you like he did us. Kicked us to the curb without notice. Took me two phone calls to receive a letter explaining why. Question your doctors. You have no idea how little they know and how little they really care. I know, I was married to one.

He did NOT refer us.
Extremely well mannered and knowledgeable. Dr. Newman listened to the issues my son was having and made the correct diagnosis . By the time we went back for his checkup, my son was better. I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful Doctor.
Dr. Newman has the best bedside manner. He is extremely knowledgeable and talks to you so that you can understand. He focuses on both you and your c ...
Dr Newman was such a charming, friendly, knowledgeable professional. They hardly come like that anymore.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
