Dr David Walker is hands down the most nicest caring neurosurgeon that I have ever met he has amazing bedside manner and he takes really good care of his patients I would recommend him to anybody you can really he loves what he does

Dr. Walker (from the Southern Oregon Neurosurgical & Spine Associates - SONSA) listened to my painful lumbar predicament that I was experiencing. He gave my several options that were all very helpful, because each of us have our own concerns and beliefs, and each option he mentioned can be tailored or speak to any patient directly. I chose to have the lumbar procedure, and it is truly a blessing, because I do not feel the anguish anymore. Why is this review different from all the other reviews... of any kind? It's because I was assaulted in a little southern Oregon town that left me with an excruciating sciatic problem that I could hardly endure the agony whenever I would stand up. Twice, I went to the emergency room, and both times they did not help me with my misery. Dr. Walker alleviated the pressure and tingling sensation on my left leg. Dr. Walker is an experienced doctor who I trust 100%, and I highly recommend his services to everyone. Thank you, Dr. Walker!

Felt like DR Walker wasn’t fully present during my visit. Explained nothing about my MRI. Said he would refer me to Physical Therapy but never got the referral note. Had to go to another Spine Clinic to have MRI explained to me and to get the physical therapy referral .

Where to begin. I had a spine MRI that shows narrowing at L4/L5. I could see it, the radiologist reported it, even an orthopedic physician assistant saw it. But Dr. Walker said there was nothing. He didn't even look at the MRI in the room with me. He stepped out of the exam room and came back with a photocopy of my spine and said, "That's not your problem." Then he poked me in the bursa and asked if that hurt. I said mild tenderness. Well, that was his diagnosis - I have bursitis (which I don't, not even close). Once he decided that I wasn't a candidate for surgery, he summarily dismissed me and my pain and my symptoms. On the plus side, (and why I gave two stars instead of one), I was able to get an appointment in the office within a week, and the other staff were very nice and helpful. SONSA has a good reputation. I hope to get a second opinion from another neuro/spine specialist.
