George Johnston's Online Review Report Card

I had my first appointment with Dr. Johnston and he told me he would order an MRI..I am in pain every moment of every day which I had expressed to him. It took 2-3 phone calls to his office asking and begging them to get my MRI scheduled. Two plus weeks later, they finally ordered my MRI. When I called his office to see if they got the MRI results, they confirmed they had it but couldn't tell me when he would read it or get me a follow up appointment. I waited a couple more days and hadn't heard back (Surprise!) so I called them again. This is where I expressed to them that every single day to wait is painful and that I really didn't feel like they cared due to their lack of responsiveness, information, or even taking so long to order a simple MRI in the first place. Five minutes after ending my call with his front desk, I received a call from his medical assistant who chewed me out and before I can even get one word out to respond she hung up on me!!! Literally hung up on me! This is the worst experience I have ever had from a doctors office. Patient/Consumer beware! -0 stars

I’ve had Dr. Johnston for a doctor since he was up by the old hospital. When I started with Dr. Johnston I was in a bad accident. I had been through all kinds of physical therapy acupuncture just about every medical place that there is to go for someone who couldn’t walk straight stand up straight or have any quality of life. This man took me from being a cripple with no quality of life into living I would say at least a 90% average life. Yes Sometimes I do have to take medication but continually comes up with new types of treatments he thinks out of the box and for this I am grateful. I am 73 years old and I can ride a bike I can go to a gym I can clean my house I could do my yardwork. And I read things that say that that clinic is not a good place it just absolutely astonishes me I live up north and I drive three times every three months to come down and see Dr. Johnston.I also recommended him to several members of my family. And they came out on the other side of good. Thank you Dr

Wow. What a difference a year makes. This clinic now answers phone calls seeking Appointments, etc. Dr. Johnston is a great guy and took the time to explain the recommended procedure and hear my concerns. I chose to not use anesthesia and being wide awake during this procedure can confidently state, you can rely on this doctors skills. The office staff as well are friendly helpful and available to address your billing, scheduling and refill needs and concerns. Whatever took place this is a night and day turnaround from last year and I will continue to return as a patient for the foreseeable future.

Takes the time to describe the treatment options available for the condition. Is approachable, professional , and knowledgeable. We are fortunate to have him in Southern Oregon.

Dr Johnston really was a breath of fresh air . Finally a Pain Specialist that offers treatments and not just a pain pill. I would recommend Pain Specialists of SO to anyone looking for a great group of providers that can really help . :)

Was referred by my PCP. 15 minutes is all the time I got in my initial visit All subsequent visits were with Nurse Practitioners...seldom the same one Was treated as a drug addict. Was falsely chastised for failing to adhere to treatment guidelines. As "pain specialists" Dr Johnston's clinic was nothing more than an outlet for opioid prescriptions. Here's the kicker... when I revealed that the previously mentioned chastisement was unfounded, in their true adherence to the Hippocratic Oath, they kicked me to street.
