J. Alan Frierson's Online Review Report Card

I'd recommend going elsewhere if you can. Dr. Frierson is condescending and lacks listening skills. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a pediatrician that is accepting new patients right now.

I can never say enough words to describe my gratefulness to this doctor and his wife. When I met him, he was new on the circuit. I was living near Longview , WA. My 18mo. old son was diagnosed with a very rare disease called Histiocytosis X which was found at OHSU. I had to travel to Portland often, sometimes spending nights at Doernbecher Hospital. Dr. Frierson was my follow up pediatrician in Longview. He continued to follow my son's care until he went into remission. My son is now 43. Dr. Frierson's wife, Debbie, also helped me through some rough times. Again, I shall never forget either of them. Years later. I became a n RN myselfand saw the other side of the coin. . I can only add this.. Until you've walked a mile in their shoes, realize we are all human

Horribly rude office staff. Every single time in the last few years I have been taking my son they are rude and horrible. Building is depressing. Dr frierson does not listen to patient or parent. They are horrible with refills. I cant wait to be fully switched over to options so we can leave. I would not reccomend at all. He is very hard to understand and fast talks you out of there as well. Probably worst experience I have had or my son have had.

Will never take my kids to him. Having issues with my two months old and he completely disregarded what I had to say and wouldn't explain anything to me. He was rude

Never ever had a problem here as I have in other offices I will never ever take my kids anywhere else. Amazing doctors and staff ❤

Dr. Frierson examined our newborn in the delivery room. We didn't get to choose the doctor. Following the visit his office sent me to collections twice even after my insurance company paid the bill. I did not recieve proper notification of what was owed to the office. The office manager is a trainwreck lacking in interpersonal skills. This was a horrible experience that took months to resolve. Just decline this doctors assistance and definitely don't seek him out as a pediatrician.

Will never go back. Lied to me about a vaccine being required for school admission. Did a hearing exam (that I didnt request) that insurance doesn’t cover and billed me $80 for it.

Dr Frierson has been an excellent pediatrician for both of our children. We have been seeing him for 12 years and couldn't be happier.

My daughter has kidney issues and if it wasn't for Heather Strickland's extreme professionalism and understanding my daughter would still be sick or worse. Every time we go into a doctor's visit with her she is nothing but empathetic and caring and very thorough I would recommend this doctor at anyone.

Dr. Frierson has been our pediatrician for our Son and Daughter. He has always exhibited excellent knowledge and sound judgement, been correct on every diagnosis and cares with follow ups and remembering things from years ago. I can't recommend him enough!
