List of J. Benjamin Luck's Reviews
I thought Dr. Luck was thorough and had great communication skills. I felt very lucky to have seen him in the ER. The ER was very busy that evening but he still made me feel like I was his only patient.
I just read the comment below dated Nov.2014; I'm dismayed to see Dr.Ross still operating. My gallbladder surgery was in Spring of 2014. It was a disaster! Yes, my offensive gallbladder was removed but I have been left with painful nerve damage that has negatively (and very painfully) affected my quality of life. Also, although polite, during office visits he would confuse me with other patients and start speaking to me of issues I didn't have. Very odd. I found out later that he was diagnosed with a very serious neurological disorder that ought to prevent him from surgery. If I had any inkling this was an issue I would have refused to see him. I suspect his inability to deal with his own health issues has really made me suffer as a result. If he Is STILL practicing, BEWARE!
Worst experience of my life. 5 years since my surgery with Dr. Ross. I am seeking help thru other surgeons more recently only because I was afraid to have more damage done then has already been done by Dr. Ross. I think I may have the help I need very soon. I just pray the damage can be corrected. Please be sure to get second or more opinions. I trusted my doctor knew better. You have to do your own research. Good luck.
I only wish I had taken the time to research this Doctor instead of just trusting my Doctors referral. Life hasn't been the same since my surgery 4 years ago. Polite, Yes. But that doesn't "cut" it.
Was in for Hernia surgery. Got an infection. Now on antibiotics and need to get packing in my wound changed several times a week. It's costing me money as I need to take time off work...
Very unprofessional. Did not find he listened to what we said and contradicted himself regarding what was said in previous conversations. Would not recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Ross has a great sense of humor which is much appreciated when you are hearing hard to absorb news. He provides you with all information without giving you more than you can handle. He doesn't mislead you but he also doesn't overwhelm you. He is an excellent surgeon who puts his patients first and formost. He makes daily hospital visits and keeps family up to date. His bedside manner was efficient, calming and informative. I can't say enough good about him. He conducted two surgeries for us because correcting all the issues in one was too dangerous. He supported us through both surgeries and was very thorough with his follow up. The hospital doctors scared us to death with their over zealousness. It was Dr. Ross who got us through everything. He is a true professional and you really can trust your life in his hands.
Dr. Ross removed a cyst from my colon using new equipment at Langley Hospital. He did an excellent job - I was able to watch on the screen. He was very informative and courteous, as were his staff in the office and in the operating theatre. A follow up showed that there was no residual left and the operation was a complete success.
Dr. Ross saved my life almost 10 years ago having to remove my stomach due to cancer. Being one of a very rare survival rate, Dr. Ross is my EARTH ANGEL. Strongly recommend him for any related health issues.
Had a breast biopsy. He was amazing, good bedside manner and very understanding. No problems had my follow up and was satisfied. He's cute too ;)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
