Dr. Savino is hands down the most knowledgeable and skilled in the U.S. some of the staff has much to be desired, but I swear Savino is worth the wait and staff problems. He will find a way to fix the issues not just medicate them. Best Doctor and Compassionate Humanity Award to Dr. Joseph M Savino, MD "RESTORER OF A LIFE!"

Dr. Savino gave me my life back! For 20 years I have had severe back and neck pain and no orthopedic surgeon or PC could offer any real help. I had been given PT, Chiro, muscle relaxers, injections, no real help. Then I met Dr. Savino, He saw the issues immediately because he's current on trials and studies, He's genuine & empathetic. Don't waste another day. Get your life back! He's truly TRUSTWORTHY!

He is hands down the most compassionate Dr. I've ever had. His knowledge and skills surpass University level surgeons. He will not simply medicate the issues, he strives to fix them. He fixed decades of my CLBP and gave me my life back!

I have never met a more compassionate Dr. Who is current on the newest trials and studies for CLBP Because of his skill and his thorough effort start to finish, he has resolved decades of my suffering with CLBP that even UHSF and OHSU missed entirely. I truly owe this man my life!

Office staff difficult to actually rude. Telephones unanswered and messages apparently ignored. One must ask to be included in "patient portal" for messages. In the followup after spinal decompression surgery, the PA's advice (to freely bend and twist back) was dangerously wrong. The surgery itself, however, was really successful.

I’ve been treated by PSSO since 2006. All my interactions with Dr Savino have worked to maintain or to improve my quality of life managing chronic severe pain at multiple spine levels. When Nurse Practitioners were brought in a few years ago I understood the need due to patient volume but patient care went downhill. Have only seen Dr Savino for the two minutes prior to an injection at his new Surgery Center. Unable to communicate with him at all now. NP doesn’t always agree with Dr and vice versa. Makes things confusing for the patient. The billing department put an inexperienced clerk to contract with the most challenging of workers compensation insurance. Two years since Surgery Center opened and still no contract in place due solely to her lack of experience and receiving no help from other staff. Four stars down from five, on the way to three, sad. But where else are you going to go?

Its amazing to me that there are a few mixed reviews, but most likely from those people that were told to taper down meds as to hearing the better long term options in treating chronic pain. I'm must say this group of Specialists are the best in the area, knowledgeable, most experienced and has always offered better options in a treatment plan PERIOD !! Thank Goodness !!
