I had one initial appointment with Dr Allen for gallbladder surgery, The procedure would be done under anesthesia using robotic 3-4 tiny incisions same day released. I was not nervous or worried about the surgery and so. In recovery I was told that I would have to stay overnight. The recovery nurse explained that the doctor was not sure that all the stones were removed. Later I was scheduled for an MRI to see if there were any gallstones left. Dr Allen did not say anything to me and I didn’t see her at all. Not even the next morning. I was very uncomfortable about her not talking to me. I was visited by a PA whom I had never met…again the next day. The PA was not able to answer my questions nor tell me what to do-next. Three weeks later I still don’t have any answers nor do I feel that I matter. I would not recommend Dr Allen to my family or friends.

Dr. Allen is an excellent surgeon. The patience and time he took with my family during my cousin's visits was very appreciated. She is mentally handicapped and he made her feel like she was a part of the decision making and took time with her that most doctors don't. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
