I went to see Dr. Bengard for possible carpal tunnel. He was very knowledgeable and explained things in a very easy to understand manner. I found him to be very thorough and would recommend him to anyone with hand issues.

Dr. Bengard was amazing!!! He was on time and friendly really made me feel calm but most of all he did an amazing job helping my medical problems. I would recommend him to anyone. ??

Dr Bengard's specialty seems to be in shaming and demeaning his patients. After waiting 3 months to see him he rushed into our appt and in an extremely confrontative manner asked " Who sent you here? Why are you here?" When I attempted to explain that it had been thought I may have carpal tunnel syndrome he then, without so much as a look at my hand or arm accused me of refusing to see a neurologist, claiming he had read that in my referral! When I then explained that this simply wasn't true, as that I had in fact seen a neurologist just a week before, he dismissed that, insisting that he was correct! He then proceeded to berate me for asking that he at lest exam me. I finally received a very cursory exam of my wrists. At one point he even pointed at my age on the chart while exclaiming "You're old! You're old and this is what happens!" (I am 64 and look much younger.) I was so shocked and confused I had few words. My guess, in retrospect (altho perhaps I am being too kind) is that he had read another patient's referral as he kept insisting he was correct in that I had refused to see a neurologist. Just to be sure I laterobtained a copy of the referral letter and in fact it started that I was a "very nice woman" and that I had in fact recently seen a local neurologist. I do know where the positive reviews come from on this guy but having a Doctorate myself know that this is most definitely NOT how any patient should be treated. I had expected an interaction similar to what I've had from Dr. Denard at SO Othopedics re my shoulder pain and eventual surgery....top notch expertise, experience, bedside manner kindness. Instead, many months later I still feel traumatized by that interaction with Dr Bengard. He ought to be ashamed of himself. If you are smart...you'll stay away.

FROM THE TIME I WALKED INTO THE BUILDING I FOUND EVERONE GREAT! THEY WERE ALL SMILING AND PLEASENT. I FELT LIKE I WAS THE ONLY ONE THEY WERE THERE TO TAKE CARE OF. EVEN DURING THE SURGEY, THE ATMOSPHERE WAS PLEASENT AND RELAXING.
