Ryan Hungerford's Online Review Report Card

Husband was referred here back in November it’s now mid April still haven’t heard about appointment we consistently call and get the same answer he is very busy has hundreds of patients to review. I understand doctors are busy but can’t be that busy and if he is he should let refering providers know. The person who answers the phone is also extremely rude. Doesn’t even let you speak and automatically dismissed you when you say you are checking in on referral.

Very personable and has my besy interest in mind

I was told repeatedly that I would be called back to schedule an appointment for nearly 3 months, when I told someone named Angela that I had been told that I would be called back the same day more than 4 times at this point she got extremely aggressive and told me to stop being a “jerk” and that they were “very busy”. I have never received such unwarranted rude behavior when contacting a healthcare professionals office. I was just trying to schedule an appointment and wasn’t being disrespectful or rude in the least bit, my partner and I were both shocked at Angela’s response. So disheartening to see such ugly behavior in a field that should be filled with understanding and compassion for others.

Very selective about who he sees. Then won’t follow up with his patients.

The only reason why I am giving this two stars is because his medical resident was awesome and understanding. I have all normal T4 T3 and TSH (sometimes in the Lower side) but have quite high thyroid antibodies and an interpretation of an ultrasound from the local hospital that said my thyroid is diffusely enlarged along with small thyroid nodules. He went to check it at his own office and wrote off all my thyroid symptoms of not being related to my thyroid and said not to worry about the small nodules and that my antibodies are just a genetic thing most likely and wouldn’t be making me feel like the way I feel (full on thyroid symptoms), that it’s just a thing my body probably has done since I was young! And he also said he doesn’t know why my pcp wanted to investigate my thyroid in the first place and thinks all previous testing was unnecessary. Then told me he’s sorry I feel this way and tried one more test which did show a slight positive but the office called back and said all is negative and he will not be treating me. I don’t get how a doctor says that high thyroid antibodies don’t mean anything to him. The body doesn’t just make antibodies for fun! So Why would my body be making high thyroid antibodies?! I left his office crying.

Very confused why I was there. There were some labs my Allergist saw and was concern about them. With family history of condition and concerning lab work he said I needed to see him ASAP. So I saw Dr Hungerford and he wanted me to do another blood test in his office. I did this a week later due to their lab not opening until 7:30 and test had to be completed before, 8:00. I was there on time and blood taken but still no results. I called many times to get results and no response. I asked for them to be sent to my PCP and was told it would have to go thru Dr. Hungerford before that would be done. NO COMMUNICATION! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I even complained to office manager but no response.

Super Thoughtful! Took the Extra Steps to help get my mothers health back on track! Answered all my questions so I could understand.. Highly recommend Dr. Hungerford! Thks kathy

Very caring and compassionate. Took the time to explain everything to me in depth. Gave me several options we could do and how my thyroid could be treated. I would recommend him and his clinic.
