I waited 2 years to see a specialist for my neck. Between insurances it took that long to finally be seen. I anticipated answers and treatment options. I was a a bit anxious. I didn't feel the most comfortable getting most my answers to my questions. I left with questions that I didn't ask due to feeling I was inconveniencing the doctor. I felt I could have gotten a little extra examined on worries I talked about. I know that as a doctor seeing so many patients there must be a pressure to keep the schedule or just plain bad days. I hope this doesn't just come out negative, just feedback and being real. Showing a little more empathy can go a long way. As a person who is so physically active, an injury to my neck is life-changing so having a little compassion along with information needed for me to understand more can help me process it and move forward with more understanding of my limitations and full potential.
