Thong Tien Bui's Online Review Report Card

Husband had initial consultation with staff, each of whom was professional and pleasant, in spite of our late arrival for appointment. Meeting with Dr. Bui two weeks later left us with confidence in having chosen this particular physican as a replacement for husband's former, retired urologist. Less than a week later, husband underwent a urodynamics evaluation by two personable young ladies, Nerissa and Kaitlin, lessening our apprehension. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Bui saw husband and advised how best to proceed. He replied to questions we had, knowledgeably and reassuringly. Other staff also were helpful and kind .

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR BUI. THE PROCEDURE HE PERFORMED ON ME GAVE ME A SERIOUS SEPSIS INFECTION AND PUT ME IN THE HOSPITAL FOR 4 DAYS. HE REFUSED TO SEE ME AFTER I WAS RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

My dad had the TURP surgery about 2 weeks ago and is doing so well. This surgery heavily relies on the skills of the surgeon. Dr. Bui is an AMAZING surgeon. My dad was scared about his surgery and had read horrible recovery stories. No matter how well you take care of yourself after surgery, if your surgeon wasn't good, there will be issues with recovery. The only thing that I could say that needs improvement is that because Dr. Bui is so busy, sometimes the appointments feel a little rushed, but it's understandable. You can tell by looking at the man that he is a skilled surgeon. I can't thank DR. Bui enough for giving my dad some normalcy back to his life. For all those men out there suffering with urination problems, go get the TURP surgery, but make sure you have a good surgeon. I highly recommend DR. Bui. He is truly one of the best surgeons in the region.

Worst Dr ever, my husband saw him for a year and half never examined him, never spent more than 5 minutes in the room even when my husband asked him about a problem he was having...his answer what huh. During hernia surgery the surgeon diagnosed my husband with a large hydrocele and referred him to a good urologist who operated and fixed the problem..

TERRIBLE bedside manner!!! I'm 41. Dr. Bui does a scope on my bladder (didn't explain beforehand the risks, or how the procedure was going to go). He was in a hurry, looking at his watch. He states 3 different times I have bladder cancer (even though path had not been done). He pulls the scope out says "let's get this out", signs a paper and walks out of the room. I was livid. I was reeling. WHO DOES THAT TO SOMEONE???

Told my husband that he had bladder cancer and got up and left the room. This man has no bedside manner. You didn't even stay there long enough for my husband to ask any questions. Who does he think he is? I believe

Dr. Bui provided excellent care and performed the needed surgical procedure for my most recent bout with kidney stones - the procedure was on 1/25/2021 with a laser scope to break up the stone that was reluctant to pass and causing much pain. A stent was placed in the ureter to help prevent infection and allow urine and any leftover tiny fragments to pass freely. The stent was removed using topical anesthesia 3 days post-op. I was made very comfortable by all the staff at PMH and by Dr. Bui and his office staff. I have no issues and am recovering well at home with a little extra rest. At the behest of Dr. Bui, I was provided excellent instructions from PMH and office staff for all pre and post-op care including dietary instructions in the hopes of preventing any more occurrences. 🤗

My husband - who is the patient - and I met with Dr. Bui for the first time today. His manners are so friendly and he put us both at ease. I am convinced that the will help improve my husbands condition.
