Dr. Hamed was great. He helped me tremendously define my problems in my heart and lungs.
Very fortunate to have had Dr. Funk, who was cordial, patient in explaining things to me and open to questions. Seemed unhurried and spent more time with me than I am used to receiving in medical offices. The staff was efficient and kind. Nothing negative to say, the experience was quite positive.
My mom was diagnosed with tachycardia. She was having seizures (and has continued experiencing them) and has extremely dangerously quick heart palpitations and a really high resting heart rate. When my mom went in to see Dr. Smelley at the Medford, Oregon location of Southern Oregon Cardiology, she was told that she was basically making up her heart issue and that she could stop taking her meds cause she doesn't have a heart issue even though she CLEARLY does. Dr. Smelley did not even look at my mom's chart, and has he not been so arrogant, maybe he would have seen that my mom does have a heart issue and clearly needs medical help, instead of his uninformed "idea" that she's somehow fine despite her heart beating so dangerously fast even while resting and her seizures recurring often. Thankfully my mom is smart and intelligent and doesn't just listen to a doctor simply because he has a title of one... Perhaps he should be a journalist as he is so keen to spread misinformation to his patients. If my mom had listened to him, she could have died. She still has tachycardia and still has seizures and if she had listened to him, it would have resulted in more problems for her. He has probably treated patients like this in the past and it would be wrong to not investigate how many patients have possibly died because of his negligent "advice". Don't go to Dr. Smelley.
Doctor who put camera into wife's arteries, to check condition of stint installed in 2011; "she did great, stay with her here for a couple hours, and your free to go!". Doctor leaves. Sandwich/soda pop deliverer, says Doctor isn't in charge of the rooms, I need to leave until they call me. 😥😶😥
Uncaring, unprofessional and rude nurse. Never got to talk to doctor or get my question answered...after waiting almost 24 hours for a return call.
I've had great experiences, even life saving experiences with the Doctors and staff. Kudos to Drs. Morrison, Moran and Azeem. Highly recommend them and trust them... you will also.
I originally had a scheduled appointment on July 25th which then was moved to July 26th with a different provider than I had originally been scheduled to see. I arrived at the office the 30 mins prior to the appointment which they usually request. After check in and having vitals checked I was told the zoom meeting would begin in 5 minutes. After sitting in the exam room waiting for 25 mins, I went to the MA to make him aware that the meeting had not started yet. He told me he would check into it. After about 5 minutes he came back and said there had been problems and will begin shortly. After another 20 mins, still no meeting so made him aware again. Shortly after that another person came in and informed me that the provider that I was supposed to meet with was gone for the day and the appointment would have to be rescheduled. So I sat at the office one and half hours waiting to meet with someone who wasn't even there. This is absolutely inexcusable and unacceptable. I was infuriated. This group obviously has some very severe management and communication problems. My next appointment is now almost a month away from the one I had with the no show provider. Their claims of excellent patient care and concern is clearly just not true, just all talk.
Went with my husband and assumed it would be a horrible experience. I was wrong! Everyone was awesome. And Dr. Azeem? Wonderful, patient and kind. Thank you for everything!
Very thankful for the practice here in Medford. The staff is friendly and efficient. Dr.Morrison is the best, he is extremely knowledgeable and explains things so well. It is a comfort having him as my cardiologist.
The medical professionals here have given both my husband and top of the line excellent service and care. I highly recommend Southern Oregon Cardiology for any heart issues.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
