List of John Lehrer's Reviews
Had Lehrer for about five years. Thought he was okay at first but desovered all he really wanted to do was dish me off to a specialist. Just about every time he wanted me to see a specialist. I told him he should deal with my problems. After all that is what I pay him for. Also I believe him to be incompetent by not giving a thorough explanation of the side effects of the prescriptions he is giving. I think all he is in it for is the money
over 10 years with Dr. Lehrer, he is very good. It's easy to make an appointment, get refills and everything else.
I saw a Dr. Lehrer a few years ago. I still can't believe the way he treated me. I left his office in tears. He was arrogant demeaning and had no interest in examining the torn muscle in my stomach. He often rolled his eyes as he was sighing excessively. He had no problem showing his contempt towards me for being on disability. Once he found out why and, how i was on disability his hate went from a solid 8 down to a soft 6. How nice of him! He even had the disrespectful nerve to smirk and chuckle at me for living in an RV park . He spent more time talking about his political beliefs and judgments of others than the task at hand. Since I asked her, his nurse even warned me that he was not very compassionate. I thought 'well this is just a follow-up, I should be fine. I should have trusted my instincts and ran for the door. Since then I have established a wonderful primary care doctor. But I've made sure to ask about other people's experiences with dr. Lehrer including those who know him through the medical field. It seems as though this is his reputation... If you're not skinny, wealthy, and right winged then you're scum. Really not all that surprising for someone who gets rid of most of their office staff so they don't have to provide insurance for their employees anymore...
Doctor Leher is the most uneducated and disrespectful doctor I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Definitely not a doctor you would ever want to go to if you have any type of mental illness. He didn't take my husband seriously when talking about his anxiety disorder, PTSD, and depression. He thinks getting exercise is the best and only solution to solving mental illness. My husband recently quit his job to focus on his health and doctor leher said that staying at home doing nothing isn't going to make ours kids proud of him...great thing to say to someone already depressed...
Super thorough and friendly. Listened to everything I had to say and was thoughtful and attentive
Good doctor
I saw the this Dr. when I was in Newport and he was pretty good, however I recently had a prescription that I needed to refill and they refused to do a pre authorization which they did before when I had insurance. this office is most concerned with their business relationship with the Insurance Company, not the patient and their personal needs. I am really sorry to see this happen but I would not recommend an enemy to this place. the Nurse Brenda was very rude and unprofessional as well as every
I have been a patient of Dr. Lehrer for more than 10 years. I have recommended him to many people in this area. HE LISTENS TO HIS PATIENTS. I never have trouble getting in for an appointment.
My husband and I have been patients for several years. We can always get an appointment within a day or two and Dr. and staff listen to our issues. We have been referred to specialists as needed.
Dr Lehrer has been treating my whole family for years. He is so sensitive and kind with both my children and myself. In this little town where everyone knows everyone, he is discreet and I trust him with all the skeletons our family collectively has. His treatment for all of our various ailments has always been spot on. His whole staff is marvelous and I feel lucky to have such a great doctor here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
