My dad (95) and I both see Dr. Black. He and his office are very good for us. He listens well and has good suggestions and follow-through. He has a good sense of humor, which makes a doctor's visit nicer.

I have been going to Dr. Black for about 5 years. He is very caring, listens to you and gets you the proper treatment. The staff has all been great. I highly recommend him.

He is very competent, compassionate, and professional when engaged. Somewhere along the line our patient-physician relationship got broken. I feel like I was thrown under the bus after that. That being said, I still recommend him as long as he remains engaged with your care. Change quickly if you sense that is no longer the case.

He is an awesome doctor.. doesn't act "above" you, listens to your ideas about what's going on with YOUR body. Love this guy... his personality is great AND he knows his "stuff". He is not allowed to retire until AFTER I no longer need a doctor.. :)

Dr. Black is the best! You can tell he truly cares about his patients and takes the time to listen and fully address any concerns. I feel comfortable opening up to him and he explains things in a way that anyone can understand. I am so glad he came to Philomath Family Medicine and hope he never leaves!!

Excellent no nonsense MD ... He is professional, personable, careful, and caring. As I said no non sense. If you are drug seeking he is not your mark. If you desire good medical care, you’ve come to the right place. Only David Hagen surpasses but he is a class unto his own and not in the Corvallis area.

This Dr. treated me cruelly. In the midst of the pandemic, he decided to cut me completely off of pain medicine, though I had been on it for 31 years. His office was supposedly finding me a pain clinic in Feb, 2020. He had been giving me my pain medicine for months. Then we had a scheduled phone appt. I respect Dr Black, as he was recommended by another physician I respect. However my first appointment at the Philomath office was with Diane Greenblatt PA and I never want to see her again. Seems she likes drama and doesn't care what the cost to the patient will be. D. Greenblatt did not listen to me and it felt like a power struggle. Seeing Dr Curtis Black for back issues. Very helpful with nervousness, very knowledgeable,very helpful all around a good experience,havent seen anyone for 16 years.
