The first thing has nothing to do with the doctor's professionalism, but with the procedure itself. Why there are absolutely no options for anesthesia for pediatric patients during a pretty intense procedure? If I would be aware of what's about to happen I'd give my kiddo some ibuprofen prior to that: the amount of pain, while the cast was set, was beyond what a 6 y.o. could bear with. Considering that just the day before at ER he's been given fentanyl spray twice, just to be comfortable with waiting for a doc and getting images done. Also, he's been given lidocaine before the IV was administered.Next, Dr. Barmada was paying more attention to talk through the process and teach a younger doctor, than to reassure the little boy, that it's almost done, that it's very important to bend a little more for a better fit. Dr. Barmada was in a hurry and didn't offer to do images. Or explain why we don't need them this time. I had to catch him on his way out of the room to ask for general recommendations regarding lifestyle and the healing process.Now we suppose to come back after 5-6 weeks to take off the cast and that's basically all care we got. The nurse via phone told that it's better not to get unnecessary X-ray to protect a child from radiation. Isn't the amount less than during an airplane flight? That's what we've been told at Legacy ER. When I insisted via phone about doing it, to check if the alignment is correct, they couldn't find an appointment earlier than in 4-5 weeks.That's why were glad to switch to another pretty popular orthopedic clinic, that had a next-day appointment for us, x-ray technicians available, and a solid maintenance care plan.

Dr. Barmada is an amazing doctor. My teenage daughter broke her elbow badly and not only needed surgery but required a years worth of visits before everything seemed to have healed. He was always kind and compassionate, and connected with my shy daughter. He also wasn’t afraid to get other doctors opinions. We trusted him completely and I would highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Dr. Barmada for any child or infant needing orthopedic care. My son was born breech via c-section, and at 6 weeks we did the ultrasound that confirmed his hip dysplasia. As any parent would be, you are upset, angry and scared for the future. When we saw Dr. Barmada he was extremely kind, gentle, welcoming and explained everything very well. He was very good with my son when doing his exam. So grateful for this Doctor!

He fixed my shattered arm, which required multiple surgeries to fix. He was outstanding and extremely communicative throughout the whole process.

I was very skeptical about the Dr. Barmada’s ability to make a right decision and perform a surgery on my son. Dr. Barmada showed a high level of patience with me answering all of my questions. He did surgery twice on my son’s leg. He did a great job. He is a very good doctor and surgeon. I was pleased with his work. I would recommend this doctor !

He's very nice and great with my daughter and was good at balancing my 3 kids in the exam room. Also he took my desires into consideration when making his decisions about my daughter

I literally can not praise him & his staff enough for their care & work. The technical skill as a surgeon is amazing (scoliosis, surgically reduced a 95° to a 20°), but the bedside manor is a delight!
