I wouldn’t feel confident making a life altering decision of major joint replacement without Dr. DeHaan. Relatives who have had knee replacements and worked with him, all agree regarding his professionalism, skills and remarkable results. Personally, he has allowed me to resume active life with knee injections, after hearing my reservations regarding their potential ineffectiveness. Eventually, at 72 yo, I will need to have my joints replaced. Dr. DeHaan has weighed my options with me, and allowed me the autonomy to make that decision. In the meantime, he has given me a few more years of pain fee mobility.

6 weeks after my total knee replacement and seeing Alex DeHaan, MD I realized that I would be able to bike and ski again. I still have a ways to go on strengthening my muscles but Kory Bell in OandFS PT has really been an amazing therapist and I am very grateful to this team for helping restore my lifestyle. Dr. DeHaan is very personable, compassionate and takes the time to explain the surgery and answers all questions and helped to eliminate my fears/worries from a previous surgery. I am 6 weeks post op and way ahead of schedule according to my PT. I give lots of credit to Dr. DeHaan who became my doctor after a failed R partial knee replacement. He did the revision surgery and 6+ years later it is doing great. I expect the same from my L TKR. I would highly recommend Dr. DeHaan.
