The BHRC is a truly-amazing organization. Almost all of the staff are caring people who know the struggles of the people that they serve, often because they come from similar critical situations, so they truly get their challenges. I'd rate this organization 6 out of 5 stars if I could. Thank you, BHRC!
Great place to go if you're on the street and in need of some help. Laundry, showers, mail, clothing, snacks, info for other resources. Friendly staff. They're a huge help for others and myself, and I'm very grateful that this place exists.
I love the BHRC! It’s clean and welcoming atmosphere is run by people with lived experience and professional training. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable and compassionate. It is a valuable resource for Portland’s entire community ❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌
When I was part of the Safety Response Team for TRI-MET, I brought people here to shower and do laundry and utilize their Peer run services. But when I decided to try something new, I was welcomed here here with open arms. I love working here because I get to help the community in way that i never knew I could.
I can order vegan gluten free low carb food twice a day scream at group and not get thrown out (like the clubs 😌) shower and do laundry (sometimes you hafta clean up after yourself or others but it's complimentary service) there's WiFi I tried to order Disney plus but I didn't get the password right I tried to view a horror movie but it didn't play and they don't have a Ouija board game It's hostel style not individual rooming update as follows *we can view Grimm a show tonight* and *one of the Staff had a good music selection këkht aräkh*
So I go there after arriving in Portland to take a shower and wash my clothes. Well, when it's time to take my clothes out of the washer, they're still soaking wet.. which means someone stopped my load for some reason. Now I know it's because a group of individuals stole a pair of my black pants that I needed for work. So I told the the one employee that they're still soaked and that they need to spin. She wasn't hearing it and told me to put them in the dryer and they will dry. Well, they didn't because they were SOAKING WET. Meanwhile the other male associate was getting aggravated and rushing me like I was the one that did something wrong. I came to this state for opportunity, not to stay high on the street and yet I'm the one that was treated like I did something wrong. Maybe next time when someone has clothes that are soaked after washing, they'll realize it's because someone else tampered with the clothes without starting the load back. Plus the same group of able bodies youngsters were stalling for time to leave when I did so they could rob me. They were already making comments about my gear and bag. Thankfully the manager took me out the front door after retrieving my utility knife when I was leaving. Moral of the story: use common sense and direct your anger to the responsible party, not the innocent party that wanted nothing but a shower, clean clothes, and to get on through with no problems. Hope they enjoy my work pants. Maybe they'll actually use them for the intended purpose.
Most dangerous shelter of all in Portland. Look elsewhere. Save your life and mental health.. Don't go there...

Thank god for having a places to go !!
I'm giving it an extra star for their effort. They're trying to serve homeless people, and that's important. Having said that, this resource center is an example of the disconnect between what is needed & what is done about it. I've tried to get services there 3 times now, and each time I thought I'd rather not take care of my self! I'd rather go hungry. I'd rather go without a shower. I'd rather beg on the street for money to do laundry. The only important resource they had was a microwave oven, and let me tell you about that! The kitchen area was as dirty as you might expect at a homeless resource center in downtown Portland, regardless of sanitation efforts. People are clamoring over each other to use the 1 microwave, because the second is broken. I'm sure a second microwave wouldn't have changed things, though. I went in today, and was told they might be closing. No explanation was given. A couple minutes later they declared themselves closed at 4pm that day. I have no idea if that means they're closed forever, or just for the day. I wanted to do laundry today, and this was all happening at about noon. The last time I came to do laundry I waited over 4 hours, which means I wouldn't likely get access to laundry services. I chose to leave without receiving services, because I can't waste an entire day waiting to do the allotted 1 load of laundry. To wrap this up, they need at least four times the amount of service. They need to open another center right next to this, to pick up the slack. These people are trying & they deserve better.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
