Dr C-K had had 5 emergencies to squeeze in before our 3:20 appt - 2 retinal detachments and 3 retinal tears. My wife was seen about 6:15, reassured that the previous week's repair looked good, and told to come back in 4-6 weeks. I asked if we could make it on a day he was not on call. He dealt with us, as with his other patients, in a completely professional manner and did not stint time with anyone, which I applaud. I could hear him explaining results and followups to patients in the adjoining rooms. I will recommend him to all without reservation.

A little over a year ago my wife had a retinal year and we had to find a retinologist asap. Dr. Chan- Kai repaired her retina in the office and have her excellent follow up care.

Dr. Chan-Kai is a superb retinal specialist and surgeon. He cared for me during the stressful experiences of not one but two retinal tears, (one in each eye), repairing both with competent skill as well as a reasurring manner that was most comforting. His abilities as a physician are excellent and he's also blessed with a very easy-going personality and great sense of humor. All of his patients (happily myself included) are most fortunate to have him as our doctor!

This physician is excellent in all areas of specific retinal care. He performed emergency surgeries on both of my eyes and restored my eyesight perfectly. I am SO grateful to know him and to be considered one of his patients.
