List of Broadway Medical Clinic, Llp's Reviews
I took my 4 year old and my 9 month old daughters to Dr. June DeSimone at Broadway Medical Clinic a total of 4 maybe 5 times and every time I left feeling rushed and unsettled. I didn't like her tone with me or my children but I overlooked it hoping it was worth good care. Every visit it was something else, she even attempted to apologize for her behavior at our last appointment before being rude and abrasive again, brushing off my concerns about a rash that later sent us to Randall's children's hospital in the middle of the night. The last visit was down right infuriating. I have never been spoken to like that in a medical setting ever. I was her first appointment of the day and before the visit I heard her colleague try and calm her down before she came in. It's a small area and sound travels, he was asking her to slow down and even gave her a hug. This let me know that my experiences with her are not isolated events. She came in visibly irritated and proceeded to be abrasive and accusatory per usual. I was trying to talk to her about my legitimate concerns about my infant's sleep schedule and she became sharp and aggressive when I told her that after 8 months of no sleep I started cosleeping out of desperation. Btw, I fully researched and educated myself on how to do it safely and have every intention of trying again in her own separate sleep space, although I didn't even get a chance to tell her that part before she started berating me. She tried to scare me about SIDS and rolling over on my baby and then told me that she personally rolled over on her baby (which told me she coslept as well) almost shouting questions at me. When I took more than two seconds to respond (in shock at her behavior) she started rapid fire repeating her question. "HOW LONG DO YOU LET HER CRY" "HOW LONG DO YOU LET HER CRY" then she stood up and basically shouted "obviously you don't want to answer my questions, obviously you won't follow my recommendations, your next visit will be at your daughter's year visit" and walked out of the office cutting my visit short. I was stunned. I immediately pulled my children from her care. When I told her assistants I wouldn't be coming back it was clear to me that I wasn't the first who had been upset by her. Every visit had felt rushed, I never once felt like she had time for us, she shamed my 4 year old for her BMI for half of one of the visits and made her feel badly about her body for the first time ever (she's in the 99th percentile for her height, THIN and does not appear to have any fat on her body whatsoever). I didn't like how she handled my infant nor how she talked to my four year old. Her bio says that she wants families to feel like she has all the time in the world for them or something to that effect and it could not be farther from the truth. I found her to be condescending, abrasive and rude. I have empathy for the healthcare system and how overloaded providers are but her behavior was inexcusable to me. Her assistants were lovely, kind and helpful and she's lucky to have them. I would not recommend her care to anyone ever. *** I want to add that after this experience I transferred my daughter's care to another doctor within the clinic Dr. Anne Vestergaard. She was so warm, sweet, patient and kind. At the end of our visit she told me that Dr. DeSimone had my daughter's care revoked from the clinic and that as much as she wanted to be my daughter's doctor, she wasn't able to. She also told me she would fight it. She also very kindly said that I wasn't the first to transfer to her from DeSimone. The clinic did this because of the Google review I left. As much as I liked Anne, I won't be returning to this clinic and I advise the same. Unbelievable that because I was honest about her treatment, she can have my daughter's care revoked from the entire clinic. Beware of this woman and unfortunately of the clinic's bad practice.
I had transferred my kids care to Dr. De Simone after we moved recently. The first visit was fine, no issues. But I brought my daughter here for a mysterious illness, and the doctor's behavior was so odd. First she came into the room and announced that it stinks because someone left a dirty diaper in the trash. She ranted about how rude it is to do that etc, but whatever I just wanted to get care for my sick kid. Then we discussed the symptoms and she was extremely curt and rude and said that my 2 year old daughter "has bad hygiene" and it's her that stinks rather than the diaper in the trash. She lectured me that bathing my child every other day isn't acceptable (I'm solo parenting 90% of the time) and it's making her get diaper rash. She even said that she can get toxic shock from the diaper rash. I don't believe that this has anything so do with the reason I came in. She was examined by and Er doc after this visit who said toxic shock shouldn't have even been brought up. My friends who are pediatricians confirmed that her behavior was ridiculous. All to say, we'll be going elsewhere now. On a positive note, the nurse was really kind. The front office has been good as well when we've been there.
First visit was fine, nothing special. Second visit I called, told them what I wanted to come in for, scheduled an appointment, came to appointment, was told they don't even offer those services at that location. Then I asked about a medication I wanted prescribed again that they previously had prescribed (but it had since expired) so that insurance would cover it even thought it was available OTC, the doctor and the assistant then proceeded to go back and forth with me about how it wasn't that expensive and to get the generic ones because those "are not too bad". As someone on OHP, you'd assume they'd be a little more sensitive about the fact that finances are tight and spending $40/month extra on meds isn't actually "not too bad" for some people. Felt very looked down on, way to go y'all:) 0/10 wouldn't return nor recommend.
I had a 5 minute appointment where they validated the info I learned about my skin condition through a facebook group and told me to take an antibiotic I already have, then charged me $200 post-insurance. Not worth it. They also said I could take as long as I need to without late fee but then charged me late fees and threatened to send it to collections.
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of help from this clinic. This is beyond the ridiculously long waitlist for regular visits, a remodel that changed NOTHING regarding the tiny rooms and only the entrances, or even the insane wait times in the rooms once you are directed back into the exam rooms (45+ minutes for a sick 2year old?!) My physician, Dr. Howatt, refused to give me the care that I needed and wouldn't even see me to discuss how to move forward. I have been going to them for over 10 years and when Dr. Howatt would not provide me with the care I requested, I asked to be transferred to a new doctor, whom I already had a conversation with in a previous visit due to Howatts bedside manner in general. Dr. Howatt then said that I should "look for a new clinic if I was not willing to work with her" because she has to sign off on a physician transfer as she is part-owner of the clinic. I am incredibly shocked that a procedure would not even be discussed with my long-time doctor and a refusal to get care from someone with better bedside manner within the same clinic. I will be pulling myself from all care from this clinic, as well as my daughter, and recommend my niece also gets better care from a clinic with progressive care because our daughters and us as women deserve to have the choice to address our needs in this regard and get the help from professionals that are looking out for our best interests. Extremely disappointed in this clinic!!

I've always had a positive experience with Broadway Medical Clinic. I've seen their doctors, PAs, nurses, mental health specialists, dermatologists, and lab staff. Everyone, including the front desk staff, has been kind, attentive, and able to answer my questions. I've never waited long to be seen or had an issue with billing. I'm sorry for the folks who've had negative experiences, but I feel very fortunate to have all my medical professionals under one roof. I'm usually squeamish when it comes to having blood drawn but the phlebotomists have always drawn blood without poking around for a vein. I highly recommend Broadway Medical Clinic and I'm grateful for their care.
Do not come here to see dermatologist. I had a bad experience with provider PA Lucy Nusrala. They can't afford to hire a full time doctor. They hired PA providers who don't know what they are doing. Consumers please beware.
They terminated care and sued my wife for a $200 balance after her first visit even though she had asked if she was required to pay anything. She was told the entire visit was covered by her insurance. They did not contact us by phone, email or mail about the balance. I see why they need the $200 so badly because apparently they don't have enough staff to contact their patients. I'm sure they will say that they did try to contact us because it's a legal requirement, but they failed to do so. The medication they prescribed did not provide any relief and made her sick as well. This establishment and their "doctors" are a joke. They will lie to your face, misdiagnosis you, and then turn around and rob you afterwards.
What a difference 2 years has made on the operation of this clinic and the apathy of the staff. This clinic has really gone down hill. From being totally ignored at the front desk, (10min) to being refused for lab work for not being fasting, to nurses desk, it was an eye opener for me. (And I haven't even mentioned the condition of the rest room). After 25 plus years, I will leave here with a heavy heart, but no one human being should be treated this poorly, ever. Especially for calling themselves, medical professionals!
