Recently, my elderly mother went for her first visit with Dr Taylor. She was a little nervous because she was uncertain what to expect when they mentioned doing a full body exam. We wanted a doctor who was well-informed, a good listener, and excellent service provider. We were also concerned whether she had treated many people of color and was was knowledgeable of specific skin conditions that they may have. My mother was accompanied by my sister, who tend to be quite a bit particular, and my dad. In the end, Dr. Taylor passed their scrutiny with flying colors. My sister described her as professional, thorough and honest. I was told that her staff was extremely professional as well.

Kind, very knowledgeable and experienced dermatologist. I had treatment for psoriasis of the scalp, and also needed removal of a papilloma on my nose. My visits were efficient with no wait. All of my questions were answered by both the doctor and/or assistants. Saw her 4 times and couldn’t have a better experience!

I saw Dr Taylor a few years back and I'm still unhappy about my experience. I paid $400 out of pocket for her to tell me to avoid strong emotions and spicy food and that the only thing that would ever help my (very mild) rosacea was laser. The exam went by really quickly, she didn't give me any information or starting points on further reading, skincare routine or product advice or info on what kind of laser to get etc. EDIT - I'm not able to respond to your comment so I'm editing mine. Please do send the records. If I am incorrect about the cost I will edit my review. This is the only derm in Portland I have seen.

Very thorough and logical. Terrible bedside manner: impatient with questions to her and invasive with her questions. Treated very rudely yet again within a 6 month time frame. Will not return to this office. Very covid phobic and to hell with you as a patient if you haven't been vacinated.Started seeing in 2018 for sun damage and skin tags with feezing. Had no problems with her or staff until the pandemic hit.

She tried to shame me and badger me into getting THE JAB. Dr Taylor is free to have her opinions, but not when she is on the clock with me, the patient. Not liking the vibe of being treated like a leaper or diseased fleabag. Will probably not be coming back to this practice. Sad

Dr. Taylor is a good dermatologist, but friendly PSA to patients in larger bodies: be aware that Dr. Taylor is not Health at Every Size-informed, does not provide weight-neutral care, and will push weight loss unless you tell her not to bring up your weight. Even having that conversation with her was difficult and triggering for me as someone in ED recovery, but I'm glad she respected my wishes and that I only need to see her a few times to get a wart removed. I'll probably be looking for a new dermatologist though.

WARNING - DO NOT COME HERE. I recently visited Dr. Taylor’s office for a small mole removal that was deemed as cosmetic thru my primary care doctor. I am getting married soon, and decided to splurge. After being very concerned with the out-of-pocket costs, the doctor assured me exactly what I would pay before the procedure (which was costly enough as it is). She then explained that they would send the mole to the lab for testing, even though my doctor had already deemed it is cosmetic, therefore not covering it thru insurance. Dr. Taylor still said the mole had to be sent to the lab, and did not mention any additional charges. I was under the impression that the lab fees were covered in my office payment. I now have a $500 bill from the lab, which took me by complete surprise. I would not have gotten the procedure if I’d known this. I felt completely blindsided, especially since Dr. Taylor knew I was already concerned about the price. It is extremely sad how medical professionals will take advantage of people, even during a pandemic. Please save yourself the trouble, and go somewhere else. ***Update after my call with Clark Taylor, who was said to be the husband of Dr. Taylor. I was just threatened to be sued due to inaccurate information. The call was extremely unprofessional, and ended with him hanging up on me after saying that I should just pay the bill, since it’ll be a whole lot cheaper after he’s done with me. Wow. He was upset that I said my bill from the lab was $500. In reality, the actual bill was $480. I will be keeping this for my records due to the threat. After calling the lab myself to confirm, I was instructed that it would be $250. However, I have not received an updated bill at this point in time. $250 is still a steep charge for someone who was under the impression of it being less than $400 all-together. I do not think that Dr. Claudia Taylor was wrong to send it to the lab. I just wish it would’ve been mentioned that I should expect a bill for this as well. I am keeping my review at a 1 star due to the lack of billing information and the unprofessionalism of Clark Taylor. Instead of thanking me for my business and wanting to keep me as a client, I got off the phone shaking from his threats.
