List of David C Koon's Reviews
Dr Koon did not recommend anything, he kept throwing out options, and seemingly, was waiting for me to pick one. I felt no rapport or concern from him. I left the exam room stating I had no confidence in him. He in turn left an incorrect statement in my patient file about the reason I walked out. I advised PMR of the discrepancy. The report, to date, has not been changed. I waited months for the appointment and paid $100 for the experience.
After waiting months for an appointment recommended by my primary care office, I walked out of this visit. Dr Koon said I could deal with another month of pain and see the Rheumatologist, Increase my tylenol use, or perhaps have tramadol. Other options he mentioned could lead to addiction. When I asked about a current MRI to understand what is happening and make an informed decision he said "well if that is what you want." His filthy lab coat and uncertain manner left me with no confidence what so ever.
Not impressed, I felt it was the biggest waste of my money and time I’ve ever experienced with a Physician. Office was understaffed and I felt unprofessional.
Dr. Koon is humble and honest. He has a caring demeanor. Unfortunately insurances do dictate patient care and he explains insurance coverage so the patient will not get a surprise bill for services not covered. I highly recommend Dr Koon!
Attentive, informative, thorough, and helpful!
i have gone to Zoe. Koon for many years after my original rehab doctor left. I've had intermittent back issues for years. oJI and MVA. He would ask questions, check telexes for neuro checks but rarely did a physical exam if my back. I'm won't be going back to him since my MVA just settled. I will say the office staff is excellent. No, I would never refer anyone to him.
Dr Koon appears up have a good history of treating patients. No claims against him indicates integrity and mastery of his work. However, my experiences in interacting on a personal level as Dr/patient , his "bedside manner" isn't empathetic or bearing compassion. He doesn't establish report, or didn't with me.
I saw Dr. Koons recently for chronic pain related to bone spurs at C5 and C6. He explained the options for treatment clearly. Listened intently to my concerns and gave appropriate feedback. I was really put off by previous reviews so thought I should share my own. I am glad I went to him. I got the answers I needed to make an informed decision.
Dr. Koon was professional and helpful. He listened intently to my questions. Addressed all concerns with my neck injury issues. He was clear in his recommendations and asked me at least twice if I need more information. He was not in a hurry, and I didn't feel rushed in/out. He was respectful. I don't believe he will be able to help my pain issues but not due to any personality problem or incompetence on his part. I was frightened by earlier reviewers, but glad I ignored them.
He is hands down the worst health care professional I have ever experienced and the only one I flat out fired. Verified herniated disks and absolutely no pain management. Very poor communication and cares about the insurance company not the patient. 4 visits and only 1 half hearted exam to go thru the motions. All visits were just to talk about insurance not patient health. Obviously a Dr in the wrong profession. In my opinion he should not be allowed to treat a goldfish.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
