Dr. Ian Horner's Online Review Report Card

I’ve had to see Dr. Ian a lot for different medical issues over the last year, and he always makes me feel like I’m his only patient. He knows his stuff. I have a lot of trust in him.

I have seen Dr. Horner for 5 years and couldn't ask for anything more from a primary care provider. He's direct, but not condescending. I have a complex medical history and naturally, we have had differing viewpoints at times. But he always listens to my concerns. I never felt rushed or like I needed to convince him to care, he just does. And he's smart. Was able to remember things, connect symptoms, etc. He knows his stuff but stays humble enough to know when he needs to defer to a specialist. Highly recommend.

I started seeing Dr. Horner earlier this year. He is DO and does approach medicine holistically. Our visits are thorough. We do come up with a plan together rather than me just dictating the plan I want. He cares, but style/approach is different. He's even done research for an area he isn't an expert on in order to help give me options. It is easy to schedule at either location.

Dr Ian Horner, the worst Primary Care Provider we've ever seen since we moved to Oregon. Not sure how could he still maintain his licence. He is not qualified to be a doctor. When we questioned his treatment plan and diagnosis (because it contradicted all the other specialists' recommendations), he adopted a sarcastic tone and interrupted our speaking. We would never go back to him.

The worst provider you could ever find in Portland area. He was condescending, unprofessional and rude. He shouldn't practice medicine. When we questioned his plan of care (because we found a mistake) he picked up a sarcastic tone and mocked us. Would not recommend to any family or friends

I've never seen any healthcare providers who was more condescending than him. He would never listen and didn't allow patient to ask questions. Will not recommend to anyone.

I've now had two visits with Dr. Horner (2 annual check ups). In my short, yet meaningful interactions with him, he's been nothing but caring, empathetic, and attentive. No part of my appointments have felt like he was eager to have me leave, and he was willing to talk about any (and all) concerns I have had about my heath. I trust his health management approaches and agree with the judgements he's made while I've been under his care. I will continue seeing Dr. Horner until my insurance no longer allows it.

My son and I both go to Dr Horner. He's fantastic! Very casual and laid back which is huge for both us. We both felt like we were having a conversation rather than an examination. He's thorough but efficient. We feel great about our care!
