East Portland Pediatric Clinic, Pc's Online Review Report Card

My children have been patients here since 1993, 28 years. We see Dr. Skau and Dr. Matthieu. They have taken amazing care of not only my children, but myself. They take the time needed to ensure all of my questions and concerns are addressed. Sometimes they're running a little behind resulting in a bit of a wait. This is only because they're spending the same amount of time addressing questions and concerns with the patient before us. I appreciate that. I can't tell you how many times these doctors have gone above and beyond for me and my family. Thank you Dr. Skau, Dr Matthew and everybody at East Portland pediatrics for taking such good care of my Little family!

Avoid this clinic if you choose not to vaccinate your children. They are rude, disrespectful and harassing.

I’ve been taking my kids here since 2009, and we’ll continue as long as we are able to do so. I love the care we have received here. I really find the doctors take their time. One time, Dr. Matthieu called me back even though she had laryngitis! They have same day appointments for urgent issues. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

We've been going to this clinic since 2009, and we love it! They really take their time with the care they give, which I really appreciated when they are assessing my kiddos! I know that sometimes I have to wait, but I really don't mind because I know it's because they are taking their time with other patients!

They are just after money and want appointments that are not needed to get money!!!!

My daughter was a patient here for 2 years but unfortunately we moved so we were forced to change pediatricians. They were always available! You could reach an advice nurse right away or squeeze in a quick last minute appointment. Staff was always kind, friendly and efficient.

Doctors, dentists and virtually any medical office always make you wait, it's the name of the game. I find the staff and doctors to be very kind, have good bedside manner and my son feels comfortable here. They do fill up so book early if you need a wellness check.

Something is totally missing from this clinic these days. I wish I could now give them ZERO stars. We called to make an appointment for our daughter's middle school immunization and were told we had a $176 bill. We hadn't known about it but immediately paid, and were charged $203 due to additional fees. I'm still not sure if they ever billed my insurance-which as a government employee, I can guarantee that we've had the same insurance for quite a while. After payment, the front desk said that we'd need further permission to have our daughter seen here again due to that bill! They just called me at work (2 weeks later) to tell me they won't be seeing our daughter as a client again. We've been going to this clinic for over 12 years! And this is how they treat us?!? I'm incredulous. It's no wonder that long term staff have decided to move on elsewhere.

We have been seeing Dr Mathieu since our 16 month old was born and just love her. She is warm and funny and smart and always spends lots of time answering our questions and taking a thorough exam. She's a very reasonable physician and I like that she doesn't get too worked up about anything. New parents need that reassurance not to worry too much. At the same time, I have full faith that she would take a serious problem very seriously. We have also seen Dr Skau and liked him as well. The only reason I haven't given five stars is we've had a couple of office/administrative issues with the clinic. Not a huge deal, and possibly related to their computer system upgrade which is now completed.

I've been bringing my daughter here since she was an infant, she's now 8 years old and I've never had a bad experience. The receptionists, medical assistants and physicians have always been very nice, caring, professional and efficient. I was very surprised to see a couple negative reviews on here. In the past eight years there have been quite a few times where I've called in on a Saturday, evening or anytime... they've always said no problem, bring her right in. I love how accommodating they have always been. I tell all my friends with children to come here and none of them have ever had problems.
