I lv. zero stars. Let me tell you why. she is a doctor of diabetes and bone issues- my child (15) was sent to her as a referral from the primary doctor bc they had a sudden teen onset of gender dysphoria. I talked to her assistant on the phone for well over an hour before our appointment- she made me feel heard and like she understood that this would be something that they would deeply consider (that I have many doubts that this is reality and not a discomfort as a teen and borderline autistic(questionable decision making)person. This came from nowhere. We discussed talking and possibly testing and spending much time sorting through all the possibilities. Instead. We walked in. They asked exactly ZERO questions and handed us a sheet on how they would start giving him estrogen and how quickly they could help get this transition going. APPALLING. I stopped that but there was a subsequent appt and she gave hormone prescrip. behind my back. They gave BODY ALTERING drugs to a minor.
Dr Nichol is awesome. Right from the start..when my then scared 12 year old son was airlifted to OHSU AT first signs of onset she was amazing. Went out of her way to make him feel comfortable and at ease. Not to mention the way she stayed countless hours or has taken any number of frantic phone calls from a dad that was so close to freaking out. She truly is a great Dr and she is good with children.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
