im coming back
Great staff no way to explain although I left recently they truly are amazing and met great people there.
I couldn't be happier with this program for my dual diagnosis grandson. The level of staffing was great. The staff were very responsive. They actively involved our family. My grandson had treatment several times every day. The facilities were beautiful and they had so many options for activities to burn off energy. My grandson had his own room rather than a dorm. That was very helpful. He learned tools to deal with his trauma and tools to help keep sober. He was always treated kindly and with respect. They had rules in place to control teen drama. He always had a staff person to talk to. I was always kept informed. He said the food was good too. They helped set up a contract for home and set him up with all his follow up resources. Both of those things were incredibly helpful. They were very patient with my total lack of technology skills 🤣😂.I feel confident my grandson will do well, thanks to all their help.
Illegally denied access for my service dog and then kicked me out after I printed out the ADAs laws. And by kicked me out i mean secretly escorted me out to the office and then locked the door behind me, they had packed all my things, called my dad, and i was sent away in tears wondering how advocating for my disability as a minor meant the adults that were meant to be there for me would give up on me. I was more than traumatized along with the 25 other youth there who were in constant stress with how this facility is running. A service dog is not aloud, but a staff is aloud to bring their 2 month old puppy to run around the halls where the youth are subject to get bit, which actually happened after a “play bite” made one of the youth in their care bleed. I will be sueing madrona for emotional damage and illegally denying me to my service animal who is essential for my success in any treatment facility. With the help and support from other youth who were traumatized from this unprofessional treatment facility only in it for the money. Parents, please do not send your children here, i was 16 when i was there for three weeks and I still have extreme ptsd now being 20 years old.
During my stay I felt welcomed and cared about I have recently fallen back into substances and am definitely thinking about returning
This is a post to help inform other parents in search of a place that is for a good fit for their child getting clean and having a positive recovery experience. Madrona may be a good fit for kids that are struggling with addiction to really hard drugs, but is not a good fit for all kids. My child did get clean, but that really is all it was good for. They say they are a place that supports family therapy, but after a month stay for my child I was informed on the last night that there really is no family support program in place and it is something they are working on putting in place in the future. My hope was my child would not only get clean, but also help my child and myself do some repair and gain some tools on how to move forward as a family and with life after inpatient care. Our family therapy appointments were canceled and felt like they never really got the attention I was hoping for. My child actually came out of the experience with more trauma and anger from the experience and with no aftercare support from the facility. If you are looking to just get your child clean, this place will do that. However, there does not seem to be valid tools being practiced and supported for life after treatment. This is a good place for kids already in the system and kids that have very little family support, which I believe is a great place to start for some kids that are struggling with these dynamics, but if you are hoping for family involvement, repair and tools for growth after inpatient care for kids that do have a supportive home to come home to, this is not the place. I wish I had had this information before I chose to send my child there.
Once you leave you will forever want to come back
I really loved Madrona. this is gunna sound bad but I honestly miss Madrona and all the staff that I felt comfortable around. They are really reliable because most of them are in recovery themselves (atlesst 5 years sober). in Madrona I have learned to be more focused on other people feelings including my parent, PO's, and all my real teachers that care about me. on top of that with work we managed to fix my impulse control. I've never had problems with drugs before but I've always had problems with talking out and doing random ideas that pop in my brain. this has been a recurring problem since I was in 2d grade and I'm now a freshman. Ive never left a review before but it's been just over 4 weeks since I've been out and I wanted to leave a review for myself to Kinda prove to myself how much I have overcome in this short time. over these past few weeks I've read a letter that one of the staff gave you me on my last day almost everyday because I was so stoked that she came in on her day off to give to me. I have been sober for 4 months and I'm on the path of getting off probation and I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH , if you struggling with anything (self harm, anxiety, or any type of drug from nicotine to meth, on probation or not) they will go out of there way to do anything that they think you need.
This is the worst place ever they treat like animals, my name is Sammy Owen I went here for a week before I was banned, they manage to completely change my prescription 4 each time resulting in severe sickness and discomfort for me. after 8 days of not get any medicine or sleep I had a mental breakdown and had them call the police to take me to a hospital at which point they said I wasn't welcome back. Since then I've spiraled back into addiction and depression.
I got discharged about 2 weeks ago and this place has truly helped me so so much. I was at my rock bottom using everyday wanting to end my life. When i went to macron i was planning on going in and getting my things done and then using again, but my mindset has completly changed. The staff are always going to have special place in my heart because each and every single one of them made sure to take any second out of their day to help us. They are so careful with every single client and pay attention to every detail to a paterson to know when they’re struggling. Thank you Madrona so so much

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
