On September 11th I had an anterior/posterior lumbar back surgery that lasted 8+ hours, in which Dr. Axley was my anesthesiologist. Prior to the surgery we discussed the procedure, his concerns, my concerns, and recovery. He gave me so much confidence and reassurance that for this part of the surgery I was in good hands. Even in this world of modern medicine I find it amazing that a good anesthesiologist can keep you 'asleep', yet alive and with minimal recovery for that long of a period of time. I have no doubt that because of Dr. Axley's expertise and experience, that my surgery was a success. Plus, he is simply just a nice guy. Barry Goodling in Portland, OR - October 1st, 2019

Surgery was two weeks ago. I met Dr. Axley and he was very interested in my well-being and anesthesia response. When I told him I usually lost words for a few weeks after surgery, he rethought his plan. So far, there has been little to no issue with word-recall. A very positive experience!
