New patient, haven't had my eyes checked since high school. Booked my appt 1mo out due to COVID. My exam was covered through my insurance (VSP). Check-in was easy. The dr's assistant was very sweet and inviting, she took my preliminary measurements and took a thorough history. The doctor was nice, made some recommendations and taught me some new things about my eyes I didn't know. My eyes are healthy, but I still got some lenses I paid for with my HSA. ~$300 with all the coatings and stuff, through their Value Package. The optical department was very transparent, no pun intended. The girl who helped me took the time to help me find the right lenses that looked good one me. Overall my experience was good. - I'm glad I came prepared with my HSA cards.
This place is a joke. They can't do their job right. Can't even order the right pair of glasses how hard is it when its their daily job. So now its the damn 3rd time for us to get the pair of glasses. Have to have appointment for their mess up. Let's waste more time and make us wait longer. After they fix this pair we are no longer coming back!!!!!!
Dr. Hampel was such a bully. I have left EHNW because of him. My regular doc was not available so I took an appointment with Dr. Hampel. He was curt, rushed, cut me off several times when asking questions about my vision (snidely saying that I wasn't answering his question properly), and continued to criticize me for my age and lack of needing reading glasses yet ("You're getting up there in age, I'm surprised you don't reading glasses at your age. I wouldn't be surprised if you'd be back here in a year for them."). What?? I'm 42!? I had been with EHNW for years. No longer.
I appreciated his relaxed and fun demeanor with my son at his first eye appointment, as he needed vision correction. It's obvious that he likes and listens to kids.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
