List of Tuan A. Nguyen's Reviews
He is very pleasant and easy to talk to. He's honest and maybe a little blunt, but I can appreciate that. On follow up visits he even just stays longer to chat. I got breast augmentation and the results are wonderful and he even came to my hotel the day after to check on me. The reason for missing a star is I would have just liked more info on how the healing process would be as opposed to only what complications could happen. Overall though I really like him and will be getting another surgery from him in the future.
Dr. Nguyen performed top surgery on me last month, and I am thrilled with my results. I am both older and heavier than most top-surgery patients, but the surgery is healing beautifully, with no trace of dog ears. He is a nurturing and nonjudgmental guy and a pleasure to work with. I do wish that I'd been provided with more information about what to expect after surgery, and how soon it would be okay to do various things. Because I live a couple of hours away from his practice, I wasn't able to come into his office for as many follow-ups as he and I would have preferred. However, he did give me his cell number that I could call with questions, which was quite helpful. The biggest glitch was not (I think) Dr. Nguyen's fault, but that of the ambulatory surgery center - they released me quite early, and on the way home I fainted trying to get to a bathroom. That resulted in an ambulance ride and a night in the hospital. That aside, though, I loved both my experience and its results.
I had surgery - Blenheim with Dr Nyguen and he is amazing. Most skilled surgeon I know and I am in the industry.
Dr Nguyen did chest reconstruction surgery for me and it was awful. He performed a peri-areolar surgery when a I had a C cup. It took 6 weeks to heal with open wounds that stretched up to 1 1/2inches in places surrounding my areolas. There was profuse puckering around these scars that extended out another couple of inches. In addition the tissue that was left was “lumpy” with irregular fat deposits. It is not common practice for surgeons to perform this type of surgery (for FTM/N chest reconstruction) with a breast size more than A because the results are not desirable. Dr Nguyen told me he had developed a new technique that would heed desirable results, with possible revision necessary. I chose to never get revision from him because around the same time, within a month of my surgery, he also did reconstruction on a friend. The friend opted for the double incision that I should have chose, and also nipple grafts. He was extremely disappointed with the results, with irregular nipples that were very long and pointed in different directions. He was forced to wear bandaids over his nipples so that they wouldn’t show up through his t-shirts. It is my opinion that he was experimenting on me. As a result of his bad practices, I had to do the surgery again, with the method that he should have done in the first place- double incision. I lost four weeks of work after Dr Nguyen’s surgery. This recent surgery has taken only two weeks to heal from, and I have no open wounds, and can see what real care looks like. I have had two through follow-ups with care and advice. This has left me feeling even more agitated with my treatment from Dr Nguyen. If you are interested in chest revision, or any other surgery, don’t trust his word. A huge investment of time and money left me disappointed and despaired, and I had to go through the whole process again.

Won’t take insurance. Had contagious impetigo on his face and was treating patients. Said he was freezing his impetigo off with liquid nitrogen. I had surgery, that I paid out of hand, and a month later I was no better off than before the surgery and no recourse was provided, except that “he could do nothing for me.” Given different sets of instructions for aftercare each time I visited. One star only because I have to.
Dr. Nguyen took care of a couple spots that needed to be shaved off, and he did a great job. Super honest. Does what he says, and says what he does.
I had brow reduction, rhinoplasty, chin reduction and trachea shave, all done poorly. My nose is now very crooked, gouged out on one side, still has a bump, is still too big and no more feminine. It definitely looks worse than before. For the forehead reduction he just shaved a vertical groove in the middle of my forehead after telling me he would remove part of the bone and file it and replace it, as is usually done. He didn't even shave the orbital bones. The chin reduction and trachea shave left my chin lopsided and not much more feminine, the skin on my chin is stretched and puckered and the skin on my neck is now stretched out, both of which make me look much older than I did before. I paid about $25,000 and the most noticeable effect is my crooked, misshapen and scarred nose, and now I can't afford to have a proper surgeon fix it. I had a lipolift under my chin to correct the sagging flesh but I still have the turkey neck. I definitely would not recommend this doctor, who seems to have very poor vision which might explain my disappointing results. Another surgeon also told me Dr. Nguyen is not even qualified to do this type of work and did a terrible job. Do not make the same mistake I did.
Dr. Nguyen is caring and committed surgeon. He is easy to work with and has excellent results. I cant recommend him enough.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
