List of Wayne Strauss's Reviews
All my interactions with Dr. Strauss and his staff were outstanding. Dr. Strauss was personable and professional. I valued his thoughts and opinions regarding my condition. I was particularly impressed by his reaching out to me when a critical test result warranted my immediate attention. Thanks and appreciation to all.
Everyone was respectful and caring. Wait time was only a couple of minutes. Good job.
Dr. Strauss was clear with his diagnosis and recommendations, and patiently answered my most mundane questions.
I have been seeing Dr. Strauss for at least 11 years due to having scleroderma and interstitial lung disease. He is VERY thorough and follows up with giving you test results. I had a difficult time recently with getting breathing test results done in Salem instead of Portland because I live in Salem, and his office finally got the results and he followed up. Not only is he a very knowledgeable pulmonologist, he is a very nice person and I would highly recommend him to everyone!
Worst experience I ever had with a doctor a) he sits hunched over the camera so you have a view of his nose. b) he is very impersonal and stiff c) he has no real reason for refusing to help with snoring problems other than that he only follows the strictest guidelines because that is the way it is. Will not consider prescribing a cpap machine. I asked him: Is there any danger in using a cpap if you do not actually have apnea but are having a great deal of problems sleeping due to snoring? No, no dangers at all. Is there some reason why you would get in trouble for prescribing a cpap machine? No, none. So, why would you not consider doing that? Because, I won't. End of Conversation. Thanks dad.
I have pulmonary nodules and we are unsure what is causing them. I went to the ER and they referred me to Dr. Strauss. When I made my appointment, I was disappointed because my first appointment was a virtual one. I am very worried about these nodules and thought that my first visit should have been in person so they could do further testing. Now, as it stands, I have to wait an additional 6 weeks for testing (blood work) AND THEN he “may” do a biopsy. I am very concerned about what these things are. Oh and I’m a little upset because when he was showing me my cat scan (that I had done in the ER) he at first said I only had a couple of nodules in my right lung and none in my left. Then, as he is going through the cat scan more, he changed it to a “few” in my right lung and “some” in my left. I just felt like he was downplaying how many I had in hopes that I wouldn’t want to investigate this any further. Well, that is just how I felt anyways.
Dr. Strauss responds to my sometimes simple questions with care and concern. A true MD.
I'm very glad that I made an appointment with Dr. Strauss. I have a very unusual pulmonary diagnosis that has scared away other doctors. Dr. Strauss is a very intelligent and caring physician who was ready and interested to wade into a challenging problem which obviously was going to require a lot of his time.
Dr. Strauss is very attentive, knowedgeable and professional.
It was easy and better than I expected for this type of appointment.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
