Best Root Canal experience I've had in 63 years! Dr. Koichi Sato was extremely knowledgeable, gentle and efficient. He and his assistant explained everything they were doing . I can highly recommend them to anyone. Willamette Dental Group

Terrible customer service. First issue was being told that I couldn’t get my second cleaning of the year because “I didn’t need it”. In order to make paying for this insurance worth it, I decide to get minor orthodontic treatment. My chart said one thing and the schedulers said another. I’ve had to advocate for myself more than I should’ve just to ensure I was scheduled correctly. I was told a message would be sent to the doctor to confirm the plan and that I would be called back the following day. Did that happen? No. Finished my treatment and the doctor didn’t even come to check my teeth. Then at check out I wait for my existence to be aknowledged. I wait for awhile and it’s the tech that walks by and assists me. Very dissatisfied with the level of service I’ve had here. ** Member services did absolutely nothing and didn’t even give me a chance to explain my issues with this office. I was told to simply “schedule at another office”

I have been using Willamette Dental for over 25 years and have been very satisfied with the level of care. The new Lents location is modern, with a comfortable waiting room and skilled hygienists and doctors. My appointments are consistently on time or early and a cleaning, x-rays and exam take about an hour. I recommend.

Endodontist, Dr. Saito = 5 stars Dentist, Dr. Thacker = 5 stars After a year, I finally decide to try again for the crown I need. I go in for my first appointment and Dr. Thacker is able to get my mouth numb, no problem. She explains that she had to write a letter to the board to get a stronger novacaine approved for use because I was not the only patient that they could not get numb. They allowed her a stronger product and she was able to file my molar down and put on a temporary crown. A few weeks later, I was back to get the permanent crown put on. Only this time, she finds that I have a deep rooted cavity and need a root canal. "Root canal" is a scary word (I've never had one but I've heard horror stories). She promises that Dr. Saito is the best. She then checks his schedule and discovers that he had a cancellation and that I could be seen right then and there. I hop into another patient room and he got to work on my tooth. Somewhere between start to finish, I fall asleep. I literally was so relaxed that I fell asleep! That's how painless that was. That's how good he is at his job. I then transfer back to Dr. Thacker's chair and she puts on the permanent crown. All that in less than an hour. I am very impressed with both doctors and would highly recommend them to anyone. The only bummer is that Dr. Thacker took another job so future WDG patients won't get to be her patient. But the bright side is that if youhave to get a root canal and are so lucky to have Dr. Saito, you are in very good hands. Note: the clear goo (topical ointment) they rub on your gums to numb it before giving you the shots of novacaine, called Septodont DycloPro, tastes HORRIBLE!!! That is the worst part of any procedure that requires numbing. So bad that I am writing the makers to complain. There is zero reason to make a product for your mouth that tastes like a combo of rubbing alcohol, HRD vodka & rubber cement. Not that I have eaten any of these things, but it tastes like they smell. YUCK!

Great I have high anxiety anytime I have to go to dentist I was a navy Bratt and have had bad teeth all my life but this was best experience ever dentist explained everything to me and asked how I was doing I usually want to just get it done and over with but wow I was impressed she put numbing stuff on my gum I didn't even feel the shots go in got numbed up with out the overkill it was a great experience and got my tooth filled too.
