I had an emergency surgery with Dr. Hughes. When I arrived from Prineville, she was excellent at explaining options to me in my somewhat drug induced (given at ER before transport to Redmond) state, She deftly removed my disintegrated gall bladder, getting all the fragments on the first go. She was compassionate and encouraging through my recovery. And she has a great staff of nurses and other professionals backing her up.

I wish this Dr. could be my primary care Dr.. She is very skilled and professional, yet Dr. Hugh's has a way of making you really knows she cares. I had a bowel obstruction a few yrs back and she actually saved my life. Rebecca E..

Dr. Hughes is a surgeon doing colonoscopies. As a patient with family history of colon cancer I would expect a revisit in 3 years. She recommends 5. She did not communicate well with me so I do not know if that is right. The pre-screening visit included asking me if I was going to be a difficult patient. I thought she might have issues with older men. She did not discuss the results of the screening with me that I can remember, other than a written report stating that benign polyps were removed and it was normal. No pictures were shared as was customary in the previous three screenings. None of this was entered in my chart to access online. I had to ask for the information. I have asked for pictures two times but they have not been given to me. I'll use someone else next time.

Such a welcoming atmosphere from the time you step into the office up until you leave. Very welcoming. Best surgeon in Bend Oregon

Recently had gastric bypass and then had hernia repair done. She is friendly amd professional. Any question i have had has been answered quickly and in a manner which i could understand. Her surgery coordinator Anna is very friendly and helpful always returning my calls quicky and helping to schedule appt. That work for me.

Had a hematoma from surgery had a ultrasound done they found it in the area she said there’s nothing wrong with me and never read the report or the lab report showing low red blood cell count said it was in my head and said I was causing her and her staff anxiety

I have been so happy that I met Dr Hughes. She has been there for me for the whole process. Whatever I’ve needed she has provided. I love her sense of humor and her bedside manner. I feel completely confident in her medical/ surgical abilities. She has saved my life for sure. I would highly recommend her.

Did nothing but give me the run around. A lot of very unnecessary tests and unneeded appointments , absolutely nothing done. Wasted my time and money scheduling surgery only to cancel it at the very last minute and then never give explanation. Had to keep calling to try to find out why and never returned calls. I kept everything, all my paperwork and organized it in a binder, now I show everyone all of it when I get asked about Dr Hughes. She needs to lose her license to practice, don’t go to her for any reason!!

I have been fortunate to have been treated by Dr. Hughes for two surgeries. She is very caring and professional, while maintaining a comfortable, easygoing manner and sense of humor. I knew from past laparoscopic procedures, that I had severe pain from the gas bubble after the surgery. I spoke to her about this and she made an extra effort to get as much of the air out of my abdomen as she could, before closing me up. I am so thankful for this extra bit of effort on her part. My surgery experience was as good as it gets and the rate of recovery was amazing. I, unfortunately, I have another surgery scheduled. But, I am happy to have her as my surgeon and have realized that I am pretty relaxed about the upcoming procedure and recovery!

I have had 2 procedures by this GREAT doctor. She always remembers me even after more than a year. She is an excellent surgeon.
