Firstly I know for a fact that Dr. Parsons is a major league hitter when it comes to GI surgeons, and has most recently been looking after my health. Not only has Dr. Parsons litteraly restored the health, strength, and dignity for countless patients he has a big heart. If you are having a rough time, and need a surgeon who is not only an amazing physician and is truly kind then call Dr. Parsons.

He ignored my husband and refered him to a pain clinic. My husband ended up in emegency care. They emailed Dr Parsons to have a biospsy on a tumor on his rib. He ignored it for a week. My husband ended up in emergency again. His tumor was malignant, He died in pain about a month later on Aug. 29, 2019.

Dr. Parsons is one of the best surgeons, if not THE best in his specialty, in Portland, and has received a rating of "Top Doc" for several years running. He performed a hemorrhoidectomy on me, and removed about a foot of my husband's cancerous colon/rectum. He listens, explains in easy-to-understand language, and is genuinely a concerned and caring doctor who is highly respected by his colleagues and patients alike. He also has a terrific sense of humor if you allow him to express it.

He’s the worst surgeon ever. Did a total colectomy on my mom and messed up ignored the issue and she had to have 3 more surgeries after. He’s untrustworthy and doesn’t deserve to be a surgeon. I would highly suggest not to go to him if you care about your health honestly choose someone else this man is a joke.

In 2006-2007 Dr Parsons performed several surgeries on me to remove my diseased colon and create a j-pouch. His work is really nothing short of a miracle. Over the last 10 years I honestly have not even remembered I don't have a colon...I lift extremely heavy weights to the point of blowing blood vessels..yet have never had one j-pouch related problem. Whatever he did is amazing and seems bullet-proof. I eat whatever I want and have a totally normal life thanks to him. My only complication was some adhesions and obstructions early on along with in incisional hernia early on...however Dr. Parsons opened me up, patched my hernia and put some slippery stuff down to prevent further adhesions. The result has been 10 years of eating mushrooms lettuce...everything with not one obstruction . Also 10 years of extremely heavy powerlifting and a state record 750 pound deadlift with not one hernia or j-pouch problem. He's a real miracle worker and I feel I really owe my fantastic quality of life to his incredible skill at creating a bullet-proof problem free j-pouch!!

Dr. Parsons listens to his patients & has an excellent bedside manner. I had very little pain during a recent bowel resection + tumor removal. I highly recommend him.
