Saved my life years ago. Thank you. Diagnosed my congestive heart disease and got me on a medication regiment and now here I am 91 plus years old and still on the same medication and looking forward to our 73 wedding anniversary. Thank you, Dr. Lackides.

Dr Lackides is very thorough when he does assessment. My wife and I are very satisfied with his services. He is the kind of Doctor that we can talk to casually about our health issues. He listens and recommends options and work with us if there are new medications that he introduce. He is very flexible to our schedule if we need to reschedule appointments that we can't help but have to be changed. He takes time to talk to us and we never felt rushed to catch up with his other patients.

He is very thorough, caring, and has a good attitude.

Bad experience

Lackides has ego issues. He doesn't work to team with your health concerns. It is suspected that his ego interferes with other staff members including physicians. He doesn't listen to the patient concerns and puts off requested lab work months down the road. Recently he reversed lab tests ordered by a doctor covering for him. When my husband drove 40 minutes to get his lab work done the order had been rescinded . No one called to let him know. This is inexcusable for anyone to do. He has an ego problem that gets in the way of patient concerns and care. Two years ago, my husband had a melanoma. It was removed my another doctor in a different location. When another lesion came up a year later we called to ask for another referral to the same physican who performed the surgery. He requested that my husband make an appointment with him instead. When my husband saw lackiedes he refused to refer my husband to the same surgeon who provided the surgery prior. He treated the site but it didn't heal correctly and he finally made a referral for the surgeon we originally requested to go to. Evidently he spoke with that surgeon and told him he would be handling my husband future skin conditions. The surgeon stated that Dr. Lackiedes would be checking my husbands skin all over to look for any skin lesions. We he DIDN'T. Not a caring and professional doctor is Lackedies.

A very good doctor. Unfortunately, if you don't plan on being sick about 6 weeks out, you most likely won't be seen by him.

Dr. Lackides cared for my mother during her last 5 years of life. In that time, we found him to be very caring and personable. Mom's previous doctor had literally told her, "I can't keep you alive forever." From the first appointment, Dr. Lackides showed true concern for my mother's various conditions and complaints, and always focused on her quality of life. He listened to her answers to his questions, and he prescribed tests, medication changes, and follow-up that helped her live comfortably until the ripe age of 92. She was on warfarin, like the other reviewer's father above, but she had regular testing in the Clinic to keep track of her INR levels. Mom and I were highly satisfied with Dr. Lackides. His staff even sent a sympathy card when Mom passed away.

It has taken several months to finally get past the loss of my father and the follow-up review from OHSU. Dr Lackides never asked my father any questions that did not come from his computer screen. Prescribing warfarin without testing led to blood vessels in the brain to thin and "leak". Consequently, swelling in the brain occurred over a period of several day,s initially, which led to stroke, which led to three years of paralyzing immobility and further leakage, brain damage, shunts. In this day and age, doctors have the ability to do better testing, as well as more in depth communication not only with the patient but other physicians. Only arrogance and pride would cause a man who's been through years of medical school to believe all of these answers are on the computer screen! My father suffered for over three years because of arrogance and pride.

In this age of technology I am very disturbed by a dr who spends his time with me only looking at the computer screen. It is important for a dr to hear what is going on with me. However, I find that dr lackidies prefers to ask me questions from his computer and if my issues were not on his screen, I was told I would have to make another appointment. I am disappointed that medical care has become so impersonal and one sided. These appointments have lacked thoroughness and that could become dangerous.

Excellent physician. He has the best bedside manner. I feel fortunate to have him as a physician.
