In 2020 I got Covid and went into respiratory failure and nearly died in the hospital. I had contacted my PC who dismissed my illness suggesting an X-ray. Thank God I consulted my naturopath who insisted that I go to the hospital. Dr. Houck saw me and was very aggressive treating me with everything he could throw at it. He was obviously exhausted working long hours but he was very committed to my care. I was in the hospital for a week and nearly vented, and this man saved me for sure. I can honestly say I think about him with gratitude regularly. I don’t know if he realizes how much I will always appreciate him. Thank your doctor Houck for not sending me home to die in bed. I know there were those that were not as fortunate.

I had a great experience with Dr. Houck in the Emergency room this morning. He was friendly, informative and personable. He was prompt and efficient in my treatment and two phone calls on my behalf. Salem Health is lucky to have such knowledgeable and caring doctor on their staff.
