Joel Hopkin's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr. Joel Hopkin’s to have an implant and 3 months after my first exam, I still didn’t have an appointment. I got ahold of the manager and she was amazing. She called and verified my insurance coverage, then she got me on the schedule in just a few days.

I would 100% recommend Dr. Hopkin. He is a kind, caring and knowledgeable oral surgeon. Over the course of a year, I feel he took the extra time needed to make me feel safe and at ease during a very stressful health scare. Thank you Dr. Hopkin!

I went to Dr Hopkin to have a molar removed, bone graft and implant. He made me so comfortable. My husband also went to him and was impressed. We would both highly recommend him.

Dr. Hopkin is an amazing dentist. He is very kind hearted and caring. As well as great at what he does. I had a very tricky wisdom tooth that was on its side, moving towards my other molars and therefore crushing the middle molar. He was able to remove the entire thing despite it being Cloe to a cluster of nerves and I am perfectly fine! To me, that speaks of years of experience and knowledge! Will always be returning to this office in salem for any other dental surgery needs for myself and for my children as they grow.

Dr Hopkins 5 stars very personable and caring. His business office Pam lies to you schedule surgery then canceled it when trying to reschedule says insurance hasn't approved it. I called the insurance company they put me on hold and called the office got the info from them said was covered. That was a 2 hour phone call. Now Pam still says no pre auth this has been going on for 2 months. Now due to the business office have to look for a different oral surgeon which is unfortunate due to Dr. Hopkins is a great Dr but horrible office staff.

Excellent and professional. Courteous and conscientious. The facility is well maintained and the staff are pleasant and welcoming. Exactly what a medical care operation should be in 2019. Highly competent and caring personnel holding your hand through what can be tough medical concerns. Thanks to everyone, from the front office to the Doctor.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed in May 2018. Dr. Joel Hopkin and his staff did a great job. He was thorough and gentle with the surgery. Considering i am past my teens and three teeth were impacted, the surgery was extensive for me, and my healing time slower than average. This being said, Dr. Hopkin understood this and somehow managed to free my gums of all 4 wisdom teeth with as little incisions as possible. This made the healing much more bareable compared to some stories I have heard of people getting their wisdom teeth out in their 20's. He also checked up on me several times himself via phone calls the next few weeks after surgery hours. I felt like both he and the nurses cared about me. My gums were able to heal perfectly afterwards. I would strongly recomend Dr. Hopkin to anyone within the area. Heck, I might even drive back to the state if I ever needed anything done to my teeth again. He is the best.

Dr. Joel Hopkin is undoubtably the best oral surgeon I have ever tried. Believe me, there have been many! I highly suggest using his services. The nurses and assistants are equally outstanding.

I have been working with Dr. Hopkin for quite a while trying to correct damage from an accident well over 20 years ago. I am not the best and compliant patient when it comes to work in my mouth because of that accident. On a recent appointment Dr. Hopkin had to inform my wife and I that the previous bone graft work did not do what it was supposed to do and we have to do another surgery because of this. I honestly think that by the look on his face, he was as disapointed to have to give us this news as he was. Each surgery without fail, I have recieved a personal phone call from him checking on my status for comfort and/or pain concerns. Great doctor!! Great staff.... but front and back.

Myself, my father, my son and many friends have been patients of Dr Hopkins. We all agreed he and his staff deserve 10 out of 5 stars. Dr Hopkins goes above and beyond what he needs to do as a surgeon. He greets you with a smile. He takes time to explain everything and addresses all of our concerns. What impressed me most is that he called me himself at 8:00 PM to check on my dad after he pulled his tooth out that morning. Usually it is a staff member that calls the next day, never the doctor. Now that is superb care!!!! I highly recommend OMS and especially Dr Hopkins.
