Disappointing and cold bedside manner. A big waste of waiting four months for an appointment. Does not seem interested in helping patients.

This past week I had my 1st appointment with Dr. Daniels. He was pleasant to start but his mood quickly changed when I began discussing my recent labs for my new Naturopathic Physician; she treats my thyroid disorder. Dr. Daniels was visibly and verbally expressive in his disdain for Naturopathic Medicine and quickly shut the conversation down by stating he would let her deal with that and he with deal with my hypertension. He spoke of his 25 years in medicine and stopped short of calling NP's quacks. I thanked him for his candor and left it alone. Unfortunately, I do not believe it is in my best interest to work with a doctor who is incapable of putting his personal bias aside for my best interest. It's not enough to have a medical degree and 25 years experience if you can't recognize the client should be first before your feelings. It is after all a NP who 'discovered' my thyroid disorder, not the family practice doc, or the internist, nor the gynecologist...all focused on medicating symptoms rather than finding a solution. Disappointing.

Dr. Daniels assured us that our 8 month old son would grow out of one of his eyes being smaller than the other. Than, when we asked him about our sons lazy eye, he reassured us he would grow out of that as well. My son has a cataract in that eye, and it was not able to develop for 8 months. My son now has to have surgery on his eye, and because Dr. Daniels would not take the time to assess his eye, or tell us to take him to an optometrist, my son has lost significant eye site.

I have had Dr. Daniels as my primary care physician for over 20 years. I think he is a wonderful Dr. He is a very caring person, and is very concerned with the health and well being of his patients. He takes the time to listen to the issues at hand, and is happy to go over various methods of potential treatments. He has great people skills. I highly recommend him.

The Office is way too busy, the wait time was well over an hour. For that I would rather drive to Portland, get some shopping done and be seen quickly. Thought the staff was over stressed and rude. Where has common decency gone?

Treated my symptoms too casually. In spite of his pedigree, his skills run along basic categories only: skinned knees, common cold, etc.
