I wanted to take a brief moment to commend the work of Dr. Monica Michelotti of Salem Retina Consultants for her repair of my detached retina. I was NOT looking forward to the procedure but Dr. Michelotti's skill and advanced techniques were able to keep the discomfort level to a minimum and to successfully repair my retina. Her patient manner of care is outstanding and I especially appreciated the fact that she explained everything to me in detail. I am grateful that she took the time, effort, and finances to put herself through what must have surely been a grueling medical schooling so that she would be in a position to help folks like myself. A big "well done" to Dr. Michelotti and the the whole Salem Retina Consultants staff.

I would like to express my appreciation to Monica Michelotti MD and the professional support staff at Retina Consultants for all for their help when my medical problem had surfaced. The issue was dealt with efficiently and quickly. My follow-up visits have shown that the job was well done, and I do not expect any future problem related to this to resurface. An amazing young woman. She repaired my macular pucker. EVERYONE in the operating room was a woman. How cool is that for a 68 year old woman patient? Very cool.

Dr. Michelotti is an angel who walks on water in my book. This highly skilled young professional repaired what is called a “macular hole” in my left eye which is a hole right through the retina. I had a very severe distortion in that eye and it was very difficult to read. The surgery procedure sounds pretty gruesome but I felt absolutely no discomfort at all. I attribute this to the talent and skill of Dr. Michelotti. After a little over 3 months my vision is about 90 to 95 percent restored.
