List of Valley Clinics's Reviews
I switched to Valley Clinic after many disappointments with Corvallis Clinic. Easy to get timely appointments. I started. seeing Dawn O'Connor. I did not feel rushed in my appointment. She offered ideas for different ways to approach my health issue. So glad I made this move. Bill H.
Updating my previous three-star review to a one-star — and honestly, that still feels generous. I’m not one to write long winded reviews, but I cannot tell you how poorly this practice has behaved towards me. After the office saw my initial review (which leaned more toward constructive feedback than harsh criticism), they chose to dismiss me as a patient at the end of my appointment — without following through on anything we discussed, yet still charged me for the visit. I have numerous conditions that require appointments and monitoring, so this has put me in quite the bind. In return, here’s the updated, more honest version in lieu of my previously generous review: Aside from Diamond, who has been my holy grail in making sure everything was completed (thanks Diamond!) The providers and most of the staff at the Salem location are — to put it bluntly — unprofessional and lack basic competence. I can’t speak for the other offices, but this location gave me the impression that they care far more about referrals and the money that comes with them than actually helping patients. Lots of my issues and concerns were met with bandaid solutions or no solutions, and brushed off. They don’t handle much in-house, not even bloodwork, and genuine patient care is clearly not a priority. Leaving an honest review (despite it being relatively neutral) apparently gets you dismissed as a patient, no matter how necessary consistent care is for you. And based on how few low-rated reviews exist, I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the bad ones are being silently removed. Respectfully, there is no way this place is truly worthy of above a 3 star average, maximum. I walked away from this practice feeling let down, disrespected, and dismissed. Dawn in particular shows no ability to accept constructive feedback and completely lacked empathy, bedside manner, and most importantly, the ability to listen. In my opinion, these are non-negotiable traits that a primary care provider should have. Ultimately, this office is very shallow and self-centered, and seemingly puts their personal beliefs, needs, and concerns above that of their patients’. If that doesn’t change, I wouldn’t be surprised if many others walk away feeling just as disappointed as I did. I’ve been looking for a new provider for months, so I suppose in some ways, I’m grateful for being dismissed. And honestly, good riddance!
Incredible staff and doctors! So glad to be a patient.
If you want to see someone who cares about your health as much as you do. This is the place! Best help I've ever gotten in Oregon!
I love Salem Valley Clinics. My care is exceptional there. My car died and the girls even helped me get help.🤗
Couldn't get in contact with anyone. The answering machine takes way too long.
Needing a new doctor, I have approached many local clinics. These contracts have met with brisk or rude refusals. Until I walked into Valley Clinic’s Salem office. Both women at the reception desk were unusually friendly, helpful and encouraging. They removed any obstacles. Their positive attitudes fill me with hope that I will be accepted here.
Great staff and follow thru on health issues. Short wait times and Dr spends lots of time with clients!
After my doctor retiring, I had been switched to a completely computerized office. No one even answered the phone. I was referred to Dawn O Connell by a friend. Gpt right in. My phone calls were returned and I have that one on one experience again with my relationship with this office. Also Ariel, Dawn O' Connells assistant is simply fabulous and on the ball. I am blessed to have my healthcare in tact again.
Really nice and helpful office personnel, dr asst was friendly - did not rush - personable . The doctor:showed concern n addressed my issues, explained why she would like certain tests run, asked good questions pertaining to my health, made me feel comfortable(as they say with drs-great bedside manner), did not rush thru the appt and really super nice. So glad I found her- Dr Dawn O’ Connor. Thank u to the entire group!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
