Doctor has misdiagnosed my gallstones as acid reflux and then not responded for weeks while I asked for a referral to a gastroenterologist who correctly identified the issue. He has also only recommeded drug therapy for my gout, and did not inform me to change diet or provide information on how diet and weight loss can control gout. Now, the latest issue with him (or with the Peace Health Medical Group he is a part of) is that they are suddenly trying to reschedule my yearly physical exam at nearly the last minute to 2 months from now, saying that the doctor will be out of town. I have requested that others who are scheduled for dates AFTER my exam be scheduled in a staggered method to insure that those of us who are scheduled for when he is out of town are not the ones most affected by his absence, or to get another doctor to fill in for him on the day(s) he is gone . NO RESPONSE FROM the schedulers, after multiple phone calls. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!

I will never return to see Dr. Dissanayake. He doesn't listen, but talks over whatever you are trying to say. He has failed to perform any of the office diabetic exam procedures and has neglected to order labs. When he has ordered labs or some other test, he never follows up sharing the results and explaining what the next sep should be. For example, after tests to check blood flow through the carotid arteries and the results showed blockages, he told me to take a baby aspirin every day. Obviously, he didn't bother to read my chart or look at my medication list... I've been taking a baby aspirin daily for at least 10 years!! I will NOT see him again.
