What a joke. Dr Stoner is terrible. The staff lie to you. Avoid this place

If ER staff, especially the doctor who performed surgical procedure in the UNSTERILE ER room, had done their job right, I would be back home now vs being at OHSU with infection & fever…it’s been 6 days!

If I could I would give them less than one star. They have of put me on medication I have not needed According to other doctors. They have attempted to give me surgeries I have not needed. And have stolen medications from patience I have brought into the hospital as a first responder not to mention how they treat their patients their 1st responders and their staff is unbelievably rude and disrespectful respectful I would not let anybody I let anybody I love go to mid Columbia medical center in the Dalles Oregon

Everyone is really nice, but I'm going to seek medical care somewhere else. Every time I come here, I receive multiple medical bills that are unexpected and I have never had to pay this much anywhere else. I have united healthcare, and typically regular office visits and basic diagnostic services just have a copay. I'm having to constantly battle them and my insurance and ultimately pay hundreds of dollars just to get them off my back. The billing department is incredibly hard to reach and doesn't bill things consistently.

Very slow

I work in an assisted living community. Just received a call from very distraught daughter who is scrambling to find placement for her dad, as the discharge planner at Mid-Columbia Valley literally put him in a hotel in The Dalles. It is not a safe discharge plan. We will be moving this warm wonderful man to our community next week.

if i could give this place 0 stars, i would. i will never ever go back to the Dalles hospital, i would rather drive to Hood River or White Salmon. Not only did i have to wait almost 3 hours to be seen, it’s sadly like this every time for something what would take 5 mins. The doctors simply don’t care for you or your feelings. my pain level was about a 9 for what i was being seen for, and the doctor told me that if i’m feeling a type of way i needed to come back, but i was already feeling the type of pain he told me to come back for, and i told him that, and he shrugged it off like it would go away. i didn’t get given any antibiotics neither and was in continuous pain. the next morning i woke up in the WORST pain ever, the stuff he gave me didn’t work whatsoever, and i drove to hoodriver, the hoodriver hospital made me feel so welcome and safe.. they took care of me and had me out within 30 mins. take my advice and don’t waste your time with the dalles hospital, this place honestly needs to be shut down.. i have never once had a good experience here and i would simply drive 20 mins to actually get taken care of.

As a retired RN who has seen the inside of quite a few hospitals, one valuable thing I have learned. People don't remember the mistakes you may had made. They remember how you treated them while in your care. I feel overwhelming gratitude toward each and every staff member that lead to my recovery, from the moment of admission to the end of my stay. In my experience it is very rare to find the kind of teamwork and caring mcmc staffexhibits, even under the duress of covid. This community should realize what a gem they have.

Just drive to Portland.

I saw Dr Chen in 2008 for the first time. I had asthma and later had other issues like Pneumothorax (collapsed lungs). I saw him after my first episode of Pneumothorax, and under his care, I took several X-ray every few months. And the doctor didn't warned me a big bleb was getting bigger. And that resulted in me having another more serious Pneumothorax in 2009. Another issue was that Dr Chen also told me to take Zyrtec-D to control mucus and cough. It was very effective in controlling the cough, so I started taking it everyday. It turned out to be a bad idea, because taking Zyrtec-D dries up my bronchial tubes and can cause more serious asthma and pneumothorax. Not to mention raising my heart rate and blood pressure.Fortunately after my third Pneumothorax, I went to see a Stanford lung doctor, who prescribed me Nebulizer to clear my bronchial tubes and finally persuaded me to give up Zyrtec-D. By the way, their office staff are bad too. That maybe due to they have few patients so they want to get every dollar they can.
