He did a total hip after a different Dr. did a resurfacing. My hip has hurt every waking moment since a week after the surgery. At this point I wouldn't let him apply a bandage.

Dr. Coen performed a right total knee replacement which unfortunately got infected 7 months after surgery. He saw me immediately and ended up having to remove the prothesis. I underwent 5 months of IV antibiotics at which time he was able to revise my knee and implant a new prothesis. My hospital stay was interrupted by massive pulmonary embolus on the day I was to go home. He saw that I got the care and rehab that I needed and took a very personal interest in my case. He continues to take care of my orthopedic needs. If I ever need orthopedic surgery again I will definitely visit him.

Dr Coen was very good at explaining the procedure and what I would need to do during post op.

My left hip dislocated, went to see Dr Coen, he walks in the room loud and starts shouting and then starts to beat his fist on the exam room table for the rest of the appointment. I was, shocked, crying upset and scared he was going to hurt me, so I left as fast as I could. I have anxiety and trauma night terrors from him doing this. He's not a good doctor and his he needs to be his license needs to be taken away from him.

If you are looking for one of the best orthopedic surgeons on the west coast, look no further. When I first met Dr. Coen to talk about having a total knee replacement I was so impressed by his very professional manner, the information he imparted to me, and the trust I felt immediately. On September 21, 2020 I had my surgery, which went very well, and the next morning I was heading home! In one week I was up and using a walker, and now a month out I am walking around the house and yard on my own power. Amazing. I followed all the detailed advice that I received from Dr. Coen, and have been going to physical therapy on a regular basis. There is no comparison to my old knee which hurt all the time and I could barely get up anymore. Can't wait to get my left knee done. Thank you Dr. Coen!

Dr. Corn changed my life! He replaced both of my knees without any problems. It has almost been 5 years and it has made such a difference in my life to be able to do things I had not been able to do for years! I highly recommend him!

I have left an extensive review on this provider on “YELP”...not to write a book or anything but this was the WORST EXPERIENCE of my LIFE!

Had my knee replaced 2018, January. Horrendous pain and had to fight to get the pain medication s to get me through it. After 3 months my knee still couldn’t get the desired R. O. M. He would always talk to me like I was not following the recommendations for exercises and physical therapy. I went to PT three times a week and exercised at home religiously three times a day. He was infuriating. I had to go in for the knee manipulation under anesthesia. He made high claims of where I would be at. I never made it to those numbers. He finally told me to just get on with my life! He said it’s going to hurt and swell and take up to a year to heal. There’s nothing more I can do for you. Your range of motion is adequate. I can barely tie my shoes! And it’s painful. Do my go to this guy. He’s arrogant and full of himself. And he’s like a bad car salesperson.... he loves you when you come in and when he’s done , he’s done. And when you come back with problems he almost seems angry and really doesn’t want to deal with you. I am very unhappy with my knee.

Dr. Coen performed an anterior total hip replacement on me in February 2018. From start to finish, I felt I was in expert hands. He is calm yet energetic, well-informed and highly skilled, and his entire team is kind, attentive, and knowlegable. It felt like nothing short of a miracle that, after a year of pain, I WALKED out of the surgery center the same day. I ditched the pain meds the following morning, and am walking a little farther each day. He and his team have given me a new life.
