Lifeworks Nw - Tigard's Online Review Report Card

i used to go to this school/day program until i was kicked out due to my weight and was told i cannot come back until i go to eating disorder treatment. i completed my hard journey of recovery and when coming out of treatment was then deemed no more mental health resources used on me because they were not “benefiting me” by someone at one of the treatment centers. life works refused to speak to me or my mother due to this leaving us with little to no information. i was thrown back into public school for the last of 8th grade and never went because my social anxiety got even worse without having notice of not being able to return to what i thought was going to be a safe space to be until i was ready to go back. i wasn’t ready. freshman year i went to school maybe half the year missing the other half due to lack of motivation and hopelessness. sophomore year same thing. i’m surprised i even passed. maybe if life works and the eating disorder treatment center would have given us more information i would’ve had a smoother school process but since that didn’t happen you’ll get 1 star. thanks for being the best school i’ve been to for the short time i was there, and i won’t thank you for kicking me out with hope of coming back.

Waited 2 months just to get an appointment with a counselor when I told them I needed a psychiatrist which they informed me only a counselor could determine if you needed one. I missed my appointment by 5 minutes, tried to call back to reschedule and was told by the automated system to press 0 for the operator, did so and was hung up on by said automated system... BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME! I will be seeking treatment some place else. This place needs to get their act together if they actually want to help people, they are just adding to the problem.

My son was at this school for one month and honestly they have not done anything to help him in any way except for shorten his time there each day. To add insult to injury they kicked my 6 year old out of the school without informing me that he couldn’t come back. That is very unprofessional and not called for. For them to be mental health professionals they only left bruises on my baby from holding him down and also he carme home limping one day due them hurting him. Safe to say they only made our situation worse . I wouldn’t recommend this program to anyone.

My daughter sees Gail. Gail is really good at what she does. She's a great listener and offers solid advice. My daughter has been a lot more up beat and happy since she's been in therapy. The office is nice, clean, and comfortable. They offer snacks and drinks. There are toys and books in the waiting area and I'm assume in each private room. I couldn't ask for a better place/person for my daughter to go to/talk to. If you read this Gail: You're awesome and thank you for everything!

I substitute at the school. This is one dedicated staff!

Very busy, can be hard to get appts, but good people.
